Thomas Earnshaw watches receive mixed opinions from a lot of official reviewers. However, I own a lot of watches and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this watch. The watch keeps good time and looks great in person. It is large in size. If your wrist is less than 7" it might be a no go. It is a functioning double barrel escapement, meaning it has two escapement mechanisms. I could not find another one at this price, they were all 100 dollars more and up, and did not look as good a quality on the ones close in price. The band is very comfortable and is higher quality than I expected (makes me think of the band on my Raymond Weil Maestro). The only con was the time sub dial was slightly lifted on the right side. I opened it up and used some jewelry glue to fix it. That being said, if you want a double barrel escapement and like the style of the watch, it is a great buy for the money.

The hands do not lock into place. Because it shipped from the UK I have to pay for shipping to send it back. Not worth the hassle.

My husband loves this watch. He’s a collector and 5 of his go to brown band watches were stolen. I bought this to replace one of his faves. He wears it all the time now.

The wrong color/version was sent twice. The third one was the correct model but didn't work.

This is a beautiful watch. Comes in a wooden mahogony style box with the brand printed in gold and an outer cardboard box also with the brand printed. Inside you will find the watch face and buckle wrapped very neatly and perfectly folded as if alot of effort was put into into it as a show of class. Pictures will not show how detailed and exquisite this watch looks. Its a work of art and stunning to look at. The two open heart features gives it the step ahead of almost any other watch you will find. The inside dial has smooth melting stripes that look 3d. The small sweeping second hand is so smooth it looks like its slowly melting around rather than ticking. The gold case and faint blue leather strap go very well together. The glass is curved and very smooth. The crown is sat perfectly and does not dig into the hand like some watches do. This is one of the watches a watch collector must own and as far as quality and presentation is concerned you won't get much better. I cannot believe how much this was listed for taking into account its rrp is £520! Bravo Amazon!
