I'll start off by saying I run a powerwashing business and my machines get ran hard, so upkeep is a must. This Honda GX390 engine is 2 years old with about 1000 run time hours. Needless to say the heat shield broke on the exhaust and the entire thing was starting to succumb to the rust. The bolts were almost unrecognizable. I figured I'd give this brand a go against the OEM considering the price difference and because the pull cord on the same machine gave out earlier this year and I used this brand as a quick back up while on the job. The pull cord is still on the machine running great after much use. Anyways, I went ahead and pulled the old exhaust off and went to put this one on and realized one gasket provided with the new exhaust was too small, the other fit just fine, so I reused the OEM. I also noticed this new unit was missing 1 support bracket to the engine block that the OEM had. Not a big deal but that's why I'm giving this 4 stars. Hardware included fit just fine. Hopefully this thing can stand up to the abuse about to be thrown at it. Will update if it falls short! UPDATE: So the exhaust has held up pretty good. Hasn't rusted through yet or fallen off. Still muffled the sound as gold as the original However, it has rusted a little bit faster than the factory original. This new photo is about 6 months or about 400 hours of use. I'm thinking by the time this years up, it'll be time for a new one. For $35-40 I guess I cannot complain.

Muffler was quiet and worked good. But it does not fit the Predator 224. Had to bore out the holes so it would fit.

Exact fit for my 2009 Honda HS 724. Gasket and muffler. Pros: Slightly quieter than old one. Good exhaust compression at exit. Con: No hole bored on new one for L shaped support bracket that the original muffler has. Great price very light weight. So probably not really necessary. Pose très facile sur ma souffleuse Honda HS 724 2009. Joint d'étenchiété et silencieux. Positifs: Un peu plus silencieux que le vieux. Bonne compression à la sortie. Négatifs: Pas de trou pour que la pièce de support en forme de L comme sur le silencieux d'origine. Peu dispendieux et très léger. Donc possiblement non nécessaire.

OEM muffler was 4 times the price. This muffler was smaller and lighter but fit perfectly, and works as well as I would hope. I definitely recommend it.
