Works well with Remington 700, a bit too big for a Glenfield model 60
I received this item in the late afternoon and was using it 30 minutes later. The Rock went together very easy with no issues. It made a good cradle for the 700 but a bit too small for the Glenfield. The Rock came with a rear bag which was okay for the 700, but was not high enough for the 60. So, I placed an old shot bag under it to raise the stock up. This was an easy fix and I will just deal with it. (Hard to make something to fit all)I purchased this for the 60, simple to use, fast adjustments, and very smooth (a little gun oil goes a long ways!) I had read a post about the main screw cam getting stuck, burrs or something. Not the issue here, very well machined. Overall, the material, bags, are well made, look nice and very stable. There's nothing wrong with where this item was made, China, but then again, a great person once said, "it's a nice tie and it looks great"Ty

Good Product
Used this right after receiving it to sight in a rifle. Good mount up front, easy to adjust. The rear bag is small and too short but that is workable. Overall it does the job just fine and is a good item for the price.

Nice rifle rest
It's a nice, secure, adjustable shooting rest. It works really well. I would buy it again.

Great Rest But Not Perfect
This is a very good rest, but it did have one slight defect. The Cradle Plate metal 'tab' was just a little too wide to fit into the slot of the Ram Assembly Screw. However, a couple of minutes with a small flat file fixed this issue just fine.Other than that, the rest works really well: heavy-duty, well made, easily adjustable, excellent price. I recommend it.

Basic
Typical Caldwell quality. It is a very basic rifle rest and works just fine. Caldwell is known for their durability and simplicity. I would recommend.

Ugly and clumsy. Gotta get one!
Simple, well built, serves its design purpose at great price.I am a hobby shooter. Serious enough to reload, but not a competition shooter by any means. I'm still developing my technique and form...cheek weld and position behind the gun.So far, shooting off a bipod has proven fruitful... yielding consistent MOA groups at 300yds. As shooters know, bipods bounce when they are cheap or form is bad. I didn't feel confident I was doing a good job when zeroing my scope. So I bought this and wow.First trip to the range and right away I developed tighter groups and now feel confident the rifle is hitting precisely where it is pointed. Now I can shoot off the bipod when I want to work on technique and off the Rock when I want to stroke my ego.Frankly, this thing is heavy and clumsy to haul around and store. It can also be a bit destructive if you install and leave the spikes in the feet. But wouldn't trade it for a sled or other range "friendly" supports. KISS... keep it simple s#$@I put the leather aftermarket bag on it. Probably more for looks than function.

Excellent Rest and Very Robust!
I use this rest on my wooden topped, shooting bench to not only sight in scopes but, to also help develope different loads from reloading. I find it to be a great deal for the money. It is as sturdy as a "rock" and very robust. The metal is cast and the top part of the rest, where your sand bag goes, is of strong enough metal to not flex or feel weak at all. The only downside, and of no fault of the manufacturer, is that you dont want to have it fully adjusted as high as it will go. This makes for it to not be as sturdy of a rest at this height but this can be said for other rests as well. Id say dont adjust higher than 80% of how high it can go. Not a problem just raise or lower your rear sand bag to make up for this. Great buy and id suggest to anybody wanting something for bench rest shooting.
