Good afternoon, No this Blade will not fit a 1037 Rival slicer. Thank you,

Q: How do you thinly slice cheese like cheddar? Which blade? Do you need to oil or otherwise prep it?

You can use the serrated blade but it helps if the cheese is put in the freezer for about 15 minutes to harden it before slicing thinly.

Q: I need the part thar holds the blade on the slicer. Serial # 62879G05 model # 610. Can you help me?

I have ordered parts for our slicer right from the factory. Whatever the name of your slicer that is where I would check.
