Pachmayr 63020 S&W K&L Frame Rosewood

These Pachmayr Renegade grips are on this Model 64 K frame. The fit is perfect for my 64; no fitting (no modifications) were necessary. These are even better than the Altamont grips that I had before these. The wood laminate goes very “deep”, it even appears reflective as you can see in the video. The seams are expertly blended to the point that they are not even visible from some angles unless one is looking for them. I wear XL gloves, and the size is perfect for me. Very comfortable for me to have a three finger grip, and to not bang my knuckles on the frame. The 64 balances very well with these Pachmayr Renegade grips. These grips are a bargain for sure, compared to custom made grips that I have actually bought for more than twice the cost of these. My only gripe would be the size of the grip screw head; I do wish it were a bit smaller and in bronze color to match the Pachmayr medallion. However, I really appreciate that the screw is only visible on the left grip. The screw threads into the inner part of the right grip. Great job, Pachmayr! Pachmayr lists other laminate wood grains for this Renegade style. Those are listed as unavailable on their site. I would love to have these in those other wood grains and colors for additional options, switching them out ad hoc.

My 617 needed these. Very nice finish and a little oversized for my big hands. These are quality wood grips for a bargain price.

Grips fit perfectly without the need for shimming on my L frame. They're a great upgrade to the factory grips in fit, feel and appearance. The checkering and added thickness make it more comfortable to shoot and control. The price was about half of similarly featured products.

The grips fit perfectly and looked great. However, like several other purchasers, I found the grips to be too thick on the back strap to accommodate shooters with smaller hands. Due to the dimensions of the grip panels, the length of pull is increased to the point that shooters with small to medium size hands might find the hand positioning to be uncomfortable. For shooters with larger hands, the grips should work great. I, regrettably, had to return them.

Put these on a Smith 686. I wanted the black/grey/green looking ones but could never find them and these looked good also so I got this color. They fit my hand well and look great but there was ever so slight looseness when installed. Not real bad but it was there. I put a thin shim inside that took care of it. Other than that I really like these grips. NOTE: As in the description on Amazon, LAMINATE WOOD and ROUND BUTT frame. They will not fit a square butt.
