Makes Great Coffee......But.
This is a great coffee machine, built like a tank and makes great coffee. However it is a very manual machine, no timers or fancy temperature controls, just on off switches and a thermostat. My previous machine was a Sage Bambino which was much easier for long white coffees like latte and flat white, as it had timers and automatic milk frothing. The Gaggia makes better coffee than the Sage, but I have had to buy a lot of new accessories like a decent espresso grinder, tamper, distributor and puck screen.

Great coffee machine.
Bought this to replace an earlier version off this machine which I’ve had for about 15+ years but alas it eventually broke down completely, the new machine seems to be working well in the brief time I’ve had it, let’s hope I get as many years out of this as I did the last one, personally I think the gaggia classic is excellent for my needs and highly recommend it and it makes a great coffee and it’s super easy to use.

Disappointing
Mt De Longhi espresso machine which cost about £130 gave up the ghost so decided to splurge £505 on a Gaggia. Major disappointment. The machine is underpowered and an espresso despite its name takes an age as the liquid trickles through in fits and bursts. Insufficient pressure means the coffee is not very strong despite trying different beans. Wouldn't recommend. Don't pay £505 on Amazon. This machine is available for £346.77 from barista-shop.eu For the love of god don't waste your money on this piece of garbage.

First espresso machine
First espresso machine and so far so good. Still have a lot of learning to do but this appears to be a well built machine that will last. Only thing that dropped a star is the tamper provided - some horrible little plastic thing that doesn't even fit the 58mm basket. You'd think for the price you're paying that Gaggia could throw in a nicer tamper that fits. I've had to buy that separately.

Fantastic manual Espresso machine.
As another reviewer said - if you know you know 👍I have a Gaggia Classic 2019, and it's fair to say that like the very original model, it is a fantastic model.People who leave bad comments may not have realised that this, like the larger commercial (shop) machines have a learning curve.Plus, you will get best results buy 'dialling' in each new bag of beans, and watching a few videos, I learnt a lot from 'whole latte love' and 'James Hoffman' on YouTube 👍A good grinder is also needed to get best results, yes it comes with a pressure basket to use pre ground, but to get the full results from the full size 58mm commercial sized porta filter and single or double shot (single walled) basket(s), a grinder and some practice is required. In fairness, I drink dark roast, espresso based strong Americano which can be more forgiving, than lighter roasts. But either way this is a remarkable machine, but it's not a plug and play type machine, and if you want to throw some beans, with no work, probably best to look elsewhere? If you want a machine where some effort is rewarded, is customisable, can be repaired by the user (massive online community and shops for parts), then the Gaggia Classic could be the very machine for you 👍
