Cat Brush, Soft Dog Grooming Tool Brush for Dogs and Cats, Removes Loose Undercoat, Mats Tangled Hair Slicker Brush for Pet Massage-Self Cleaning

The brush is of a good size and the bristles are doing a good job of removing loose hair from my cat but for some reason, the brush gets charged and the hair is repelled from it so instead of sticking to the brush the hair is flying all over the room. Did not have this issue with my old brush, suspect that this is happening because the ends of bristles are protected with plastic thus the brush never comes into contact with the skin through metal parts and cannot discharge like my old brush. Cat definitely prefers it this way since it is much more gentle on the skin but now after brushing the cat I also need to clean the whole room since hair is flying everywhere.

I‘m updating my review now that I’ve had a chance to use it a bit. The tines are really delicate - this brush can be used for touch ups in between grooming - but it is not a slicker brush that you can use to brush out tangles - and it gets caught on even tiny Matts.... this is to be used to fluff up a groom that is already complete once in awhile - like a fine tooth comb.

I was excited to see a brush on the market with the option to press a button for hair to come off. No matter how much hair is on this brush the button doesn’t not work in terms of pressing the hair forward enough to fall off. The cats really like the feeling of this brush heifer we’ve only used three times and the teeth of the brush are already bent and misshapen. I had really high hopes but unfortunately this is just an ok buy and doesn’t do what it claims.

It didn't work well for me and my mini golden doodle. Pulls his hair too much and also some of the bristles were bent. Ended up returning and bought something that didn't have the little beady things on the end of each bristle and it works much better.

I found my cat had started to get mats in his fur but like really close to his skin and the sort of rubber brush I have was not doing the trick to remove them so I decided to grab this brush just to see if it would work and let me tell you it definitely does!My cat is usually pretty timid and hates being brushed but for some reason right off the bat he was attracted to this brush and wanted me to try it out on him. He absolutely loves it and it took out all of his mats. The only thing is the brush doesn't really hold the fur that well, it will hold a little bit and then you will notice chunks of fur either floating around or sticking to your cat as you brush, but I don't consider it a downfall.
