I love these pens
I can't remember when I first came across Uni-Ball Signo pens from Japan, but I absolutely LOVE them. Of all the hundreds of pens I have (yes, I have a problem - they're my addiction), I prefer the ones with micro points and these pens have some of the best. They write very smoothly without a skip or leaving a glop of ink like some cheap rollerball points can do. Even if you tend to have very small, cramped handwriting, these pens are so fine that what you write is still easy to read. Ink dries quickly so there are no smears, and it doesn't seep through to the other side of the paper. This blue-black ink is equivalent to a dark navy, and this pen also comes in other lovely colors that are a nice change from the usual bright red, blue, or black. Being such fine point, these pens aren't the best for use on multiple part carbon(less) forms as if you press hard to make sure the imprint goes all the way through, you can tear the top sheet of paper with the minute-point of the pen.

Only Pen I Want Now
This review is for the Uni-Ball Signo (UM100.64), Blue Black, 0.5mm. This pen is practically perfect. Normally I really can't stand gel ink, but this ink writes very smoothly and also dries quickly. Even though it's a fine tip it never clogs or skips while writing. I can get extremely neat lines from this pen. I was initially worried about ordering the blue color, but it turns out this is a really "professional" blue. Dark in tone. Actually, I've come to prefer it now over black. As long as these pens are for sale they will be the only ones I buy. Worth the relatively high price point.

Very long.
I love the way these write and the color of the ink. But boy are these long. At 6" they can be difficult to carry in a pocket.

The Real Deal. The Best Pens
I think I first used these Uni-Ball Signo Blue Black 0.5mm pens back when I studied abroad in Hong Kong in 2004. They were truly the best pens I'd ever had the pleasure of using for daily use, taking notes in-and-outside of classes. I tried to stock up at that time but it's been over fifteen years, and I was thrilled to discover, order and receive these pens today via Amazon. These seem like exactly the same item that I used so many years ago. It's pretty awesome. I love the blue black color. These pens aren't as stylish-looking as some of the other Signo models, particularly the mx (?) or micro point gel pens, but they still look good and come with the bar code with Japanese writing to let you know these are authentic, Made-in-Japan, pens. I'm going to be ordering more Uni-ball Gel Pens. Can't beat the convenience of online ordering from Amazon for Japanese stationary with quick-turnaround shipping!

Excellent Pen
Smooth, clean, wonderful pen. Worth the money. Gave as a gift for Christmas, everyone loves this pen. The Japanese make excellent products.

Works great until they don't
Decided to take a chance despite mixed reviews, but I can verify that these pens work great at first. Then after some period of time (days, weeks, depends on the pen) they just stop writing smoothly and instead become really choppy with gaps, to the point where I can't really read what I'm writing. Frustrating and unfortunate because I love the fine point and color of the blue black ink.
