SeachemFlourish Excel 500 Milliliter Bottles (4 Pack)

It is a form of glutaraldehyde. It is toxic to humans in large amounts, and you must be careful about not getting it in your eyes etc. Its use is very controversial, as some believe it kills inverts, though many others say it doesn't. Plants can, in fact, use it as they would carbon for growth. It is an effective algicide. As a side note, I can confirm that it kills lawns. I poured a 5 gallon bucket of tank water with glutaraldehyde in it on my lawn and killed a patch. But like I said, if you know what it is and does it appropriately, it does do what Seachem claims it does.

This seems to do a good job of feeding my plants. It can be tough to tell on things like this though, since there are so many variables in an aquarium.

This kills BBA. Nothing else I've used kills BBA. It also kills anacharis. But anything that can kill BBA is a 5-star product in my book. Don't forget to recycle!

This is an essential in every planted aquarium dosing regiment. If you are not using this or an equivalent, you should be.Highly recommended!

Seems to do wonders for plants and alage

While this does work the contents are toxic -so dilute before dumping in water column- and I note that using it every day or two resulted in melting of several of my mosses. I mix a small amount in a large volume of water before adding to the tank. Currently only using it this week maybe twice a month.

I would like to start by saying that Flourish excel is a great product and it seems to be effective at getting rid of BBA and my plants love it. The problem is that I ordered this product and they sent me 4 bottles of Flourish. Then at the request of an Amazon rep, I ordered the same product again and I received 4 bottles of Chichlid Trace. Not sure what's up, but I hope they fix it!
