100% Organic Cat Grass Seeds - Cat Grass for Indoor Cats - (Non GMO) 8 oz

I bought this wonderful product for the first time. And I was very happy that it takes only 4 days from sowing for the grass to be ready for the cat. Good germination, almost every seed sprouted, and our cat likes the taste of the variety. It will last for several weeks, as it continues to grow while the cat eats, better than the store bought. Good value for money. It is easy to plant, just fill the pot with soil, leaving about half an inch from the top, put a handful of seeds and sprinkle a little soil, water and wait a day to see how the grass bursts. My cat loves this grass, these are great natural vitamins. I recommend all cat and dog owners to buy this green grass for their pets.

Update at 3 years post purchase: I continue to be pleasantly amazed at the quality of this cat grass. Not only does it still germinate and grow quickly and easily, but I swear it doesn't make my cat vomit as much as other varieties. I keep it in the window and move it to the floor when my kitty lets me know that she'd like a snack from it. It looks beautiful, too, even after being munched on one or twice a day for a few weeks (see pics)! Previous review: I bought this bag 2.5 years ago. In the time since then it's been exposed to heat, freezing temps, moisture, even left out on the porch during a rainstorm (the bag was securely sealed, though!); it's been tossed in a box in the garage and forgotten, tossed in a box in the basement and forgotten, moved with me from one house to another.... and it STILL germinates within days of planting. Like, ALL of the seeds I plant germinate. Give it decent potting soil, water, and a place on the windowsill where it can get at least partial sun and it'll be ready for munching in less than a week. If only everything was this easy to grow!!

This will be year 3 with the same bag, it doesn't take much, and it grows fast. Seeds are still good after 3 years, didn't even refrigerate them. I have four cats, and they all go nuts for this stuff. If I bring it in the house, they'll immediately start digging it up lol. Even with a small amount, it grows faster than the cats can eat it. Personally, I don't leave it where they can get to it for reasons mentioned above. Took less than a week to sprout, about 10 days to start harvesting. 10/10 love this stuff.

Disregard the instructions when it comes to sprouting the seeds, moisten the soil and cover with plastic wrap, in a few days BAM lots of cat grass! My cat prefers a different variety more but still enjoys these organic greens.

Best cat grass I’ve tried. My kitties really love it! Easy to germinate in a planter pot. I will keep purchasing it!

Update 3/3/19: repeat purchase, I'm pleased to find the quality is still excellent. Seeds are fresh and I get prompt and full germination, no waste. My cat Willow also approves and gives The Cat Ladies and their grass seeds 4 paws up. :) 4/12/18 Excellent product - seeds all clearly very fresh, none of the musty-dusty look/smell you often get with big-box store products. Germination was timely and complete so the value for the money is great, these are so fresh you don't have to plant double the number of seeds hoping that maybe half will come up as with some products that have been sitting on a shelf for who knows how long. *Most importantly* my cat has given her seal of approval as well, Willow says this is very tender and yummy. My planting technique: fill a 4" diameter pot about 3/4 full with moist potting soil and sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of seeds evenly over the surface. Dampen the seeds well with water misted from a spray bottle. Top with no more than 1/2 inch potting soil, just enough to cover the seeds but not "bury" them, and spray-mist that soil layer as well. (Misting really does work better than pouring for those two steps, if you don't have a spray bottle get one!) Cover the top of the pot with plastic wrap or even better a plastic bowl cover. Set the pot in a pot-saucer (or a plastic food bowl or left-over take-out container works just as well) with about 1/2 inch water in the saucer. Set in the warmest spot in your house for 48 hours, doesn't matter if it's a window at this stage. After 48 hours remove the cover, set in a sunny window and you're on your way to a full pot of grass for your kitty's enjoyment. (If you're new to growing kitty-grass keep in mind that this is not yard grass and it doesn't keep going forever - I get a fresh pot started about every 2 weeks so about the time one plays out the new one is nice and lush and ready to replace it.)

My cat seems to love these grasses and I do too! From the moment she's had them, she has somehow understood that they're for her. Now she leaves all of my thriving houseplants alone. Which is good because now I can put them back on the floor as we're running out of desk and shelf space because of her plant taste-testing habit. It's a win-win-win situation. It's been a month since I've started growing them. As you can see, they all pretty much look healthy and bushy. I've only planted them once and they seem to grow perpetually. My cat would get her healthy dose of greens every morning and sometimes snack on them later in the day but they just quickly grow back. The amount of seeds I planted on that tray is between 1/8 to 1/4 cup. At this rate, I think the 8 oz bag would last her a whole year. It's very low maintenance, I just water it twice a week and mist it a little every morning because my cat seems to love that. No soil needed if you lay a fine screen mesh on the tray and sprinkle the seeds directly on it, it's totally mess-free. They started germinating overnight and by day 4 or 5, they've started sprouting and about 98% of the seeds were viable. This bag is a healthy mix of organic wheat, oat, rye and barley. I'm thinking of buying another bag for my own consumption.

Wen my hooman plants these seeds they tern into grass in only forr days. I luv eeting the moyst green grass sins it keeps me reguler and dat makes me very happy. I love my hooman! Frum Clyde da cat.

Grew very fast, almost 2 weeks, then it lasted for about 2 months and a bit. Unfortunately the little monster (cat), was uninterested in it completely.

I don't eat grass but the cats love it. They said meow.
