Obs 7.3 powerstroke
Same valve you buy on the diesel websites and it’s cheaper and works great. Fits perfectly and super easy to install. So if you want colder a/c in your obs ford this is the best way

Worked
Used it on my 1st Gen Cummins. The orientation is a little different than the rusted filled, corroded, busted one I pulled out but the nipples are the same size on both the heater line and vacuum line. Works fine.

Nice valve but it could be better with subtle changes
Nice design in that the coolant path is completely separate from the vacuum actuator. However the valve control rod should either be a little longer or the bracket on the vacuum pod /actuator should be positioned so that the pod arm sits lower on the valve control rod in the relaxed position. It comes with a clip to prevent the arm from slipping off the rod but my clip was loose in the bag. I was able to solder the clip to the rod which should solve the potential of the arm slipping off the rod. It would not stop me from buying a valve but it would have been very easy to correct the design so even without a clip the rod and arm would rarely separate.I had a previous valve on my car from a prior owner. The design was near identical but the bracket location on the old valve was attached in such a way that the arm would not naturally slip off the rod (there was no clip but there may have been when it was new). The old valve was still functioning but the metal area which the hose side slides over was corroded on a car from Central Texas with basically zero corrosion. Based on the old valve I took the vacuum pod off of the new assembly and I clear coated the metal parts of the valve. This valve is normally open (without vacuum the valve is open/ closes with vacuum). It is designed for 5/8” inside diameter heater hose so the valve is 5/8” x 5/8”. I wish they made the same basic valve but in ¾” x ¾”. On my car the ¾” line has a longer flexible area. Placing something like this in a short section can cause that area to be stiff and it could result in added stress to the heater connections. Regardless of which side you shut the coolant will stop flowing through the heater once the valve is closed so there is the option of placing it on either connection. I couldn’t find a similar vacuum actuated valve in ¾” x ¾” anywhere.

Superb Quality Item
This item was ordered late evening on Tuesday 6th September, not realising at the time that it was to be shipped from Kentucky USA. The package arrived in perfect condition, early morning on Monday 12th... Now that is what I call a quality service

Great little vacuum valve.
We used this on a 87 Z31 to replace the stock valve that someone had lost/deleted. The valve works great where the original unit is rare and costs $250 if you can find one. Super pleased with this. Can't be for certain but recall that it is spring closed, vacuum open.
