Compact, vacuum-sealed gauze that actually fits any IFAK. The Z-fold feeds cleanly for fast, controlled wound packing, and the 3" x 5 yd sterile strip with X-ray marker is typical NAR quality. Works well as backing for a hemostatic agent and under a compression bandage like the NAR 4" ETD. Not hemostatic on its own, but for the size and price it is a reliable, easy-to-stage essential.

Hopped i would never need this but a few weeks ago I did. My 4 year old son was playing in the living room floor spinning in circles with a toy and spun his head right into the corner of a coffee table. I knew instantly he had a bad cut or split to the side of his head. I grabbed him within seconds we wear both covered in blood. I was trying to keep him from seeing the blood my wife grabbed a wash rag to try and stop it but bleed threw. I remembered the package with this in it was on the kitchen table. I placed this tight to his head and used part of it to wrap his head to hold the bandage there until we got to the emergency room to get three stitches to the side of his head. I am extremely glad I had this.

Hopefully if you're looking here for reviews, you already know this is the gold standard for wound packing. I don't see a reason to use anything else for trauma kits.

Great quality, love how its folded. Have not had to use it. I hope i never have to but at least i have it just in case.
