Great quality and a no-fuss way to cook sausage easily ...
Great quality and a no-fuss way to cook sausage easily outside. Rubbing Alcohol is the fuel source... clean, easy, no odors. Place roasting bowl on fireproof surface, poor in an inch of alcohol, place sausage on bowl surface, light a match, and grill your sausages! The small bowl fits 2 sausages, medium bowl 3 or 4, large bowl 5 or 6. If you're using the bowl in a windy location the alcohol burns down more quickly so may have to add more. Best to find a non-windy spot but if not the bowl is still fun and easy. Let the bowl cool down before touching or moving it, or wear a cooking mitt. Great for roasting marshmallows... kids love it. You can safely use on a deck or screened-in porch. I imagine it is safe to use on a stove top indoors. I haven't tried that yet but will.Great gift for any sausage or hot dog lovin' friend!

Well-made and looks good when you put it on the counter. Easy to clean. Hasn't discolored despite multiple flamings!

Great product
I was so happy to find this on Amazon. I haven’t been back to Portugal in 8 years and this brought a little bit of home to me. It works great and it’s good quality. For the people saying “it doesn’t have instructions “ do you buy coloring pencils and expect them to come with instructions on how to draw? Seriously... if you don’t know what it’s for why would you buy it?

Fun showy way to roast smoked/cured sausage
I had chourico in Portugal a couple of times on such a roaster where we flamed it at the table. I didn't buy one of the roasters there (no room in the suitcase haha) but bought this one when we returned home. Just make sure you're roasting something already smoked or cured, not raw - I can't find Portuguese chourico near me, but I've roasted andouille sausage, and kielbasa. You may read that you need "at least" 80 proof alcohol for this to work, but 80 proof did nothing; wild turkey 101 works great. Ok, so using alcohol is more expensive than firing up the bbq, so it's more for show than anything else, but it's fun!

Fun
Well constructed and was a a lot of fun to cook the Portuguese style chorizo over the open flame. Most difficult part is finding fuel to use. I used Everclear but I live in the weird state of California that has limits as to the proof of alcohol that can be sold here. But the clay roaster is fun and worth it to me.

Everything I hoped for
The media could not be loaded. A fun and testy way to roast sausages. I used 3 shots Everclear to one shot Single Malt Scotch (plus one or two shots for the chef.

After a trip to Portugal I wanted this
I did not have room in my luggage on the trip (carry-on only) for this. Happy to see that it is available here. Alcohol is added to the bottom of this cooker, and the chorizos go on top. These have to be the type of dry cured chorizos like they have in Spain and Portugal, not the uncooked Mexican types. This cooker warms and browns the chorizos perfectly and then they can be sliced into pieces for tapas. Works great!
