Anchors are TRASH. The pegs themselves are great.
I missed the boat on the reviews. Listen to me now, throw the anchors into the trash. Go to big box store and buy you some of the self drilling drywall anchors. I busted a huge hole in my drywall in the very beginning thanks to ke trying to use the crap that comes with the pegs. Once I put some serious anchors in, the pegs straightened out and are holding a 2x6 shelf with ease. TL;DR pegs are great, anchors absolutely crap.

dont use included plastic anchors
Amazon DIYers: these work well. i needed the wall mounts very narrow since my shelf thickness is only 7/8". i needed to use a drill press (7/16" bit worked fine), due to thinness of wood.. if you are going into drywall and you cannot use a stud because of the positioning of the shelf (my case), do not use what came with the set; they seem to be for a block wall or something. i wouldnt rely on a plastic anchor anyway, unless you plan the very lightest of weight. i used 1/8 toggle spring bolts. 1 star off for zero included info/instructions.

Brackets are solid but a bit narrow and the drywall anchors are questionable
I used these for a couple of floating shelves and they worked out okay but I did find the base of the brackets a little narrow compared to another brand that I have used. A wider base would provide a little better support against the drywall. As far as installation goes, the biggest challenge is drilling the 10mm hole in the back of the shelves. Getting them centered and straight takes some time. Once the holes are drilled, insert the brackets most of the way into the shelf, hold it in position and mark the screw holes so you can fasten the brackets to the wall.I also routed the back of the shelves around the 10mm holes with a 7/8" straight bit so the shelf would fit against the wall. If you don't have space for the bracket "inside the shelf" you will have a gap behind the shelf and the wall. If you use the supplied drywall anchors, it will be an even bigger gap.

Good brackets
The brackets themselves worked great. The screws and anchors on the other hand were worthless. They did not hold and the screws didn’t have any grip into the anchor. I ended up buying my own from Home Depot.

Trash
Two broke as we were trying to mount them to the wall, the other two broke as soon as we got our shelf on them. We now have one stuck in the shelf, a huge gauge in my drywall where the shelf fell, and damage done to our trim. We’ll have to spend more money than these cost to fix the damage done by trusting these brackets. Don’t waste your money.
