I ended up getting this bouncer after having a much cheaper one. My baby didn’t stay put in the cheaper Fisher-Price one. With this one he is nice and secure in it. I love that there are three different heights that it can adjust to. I’ve used it a decent amount when I need to put him down to do something. it feels nice and secure when he is in there. It is lightweight and overall just a very convenient option. I had looked at other things such as baby loungers, but I like the fact that this feels much more secure and the baby is upright. I just got it so I have not washed it yet but it looks like it is really easy to come off and wash in the washer. I was hesitant to spend this much money on something, but it is definitely worth the money spent. I can’t speak to the knock off ones but if you are debating this purchase, I would say it’s definitely worth it despite the price point.

Buy this!!!!! stop shopping around. It really is the best product ever! This should go on every registry. I am bummed that I didnt find it earlier. It's sleek and sophisticated. It is natural, eco friendly and high quality!! the color alone is beautiful, the picture does it no justice. I bought the creme one and it looks great! it feels ever so soft too!!! Four positions for baby. I love that it folds flat for travel... so great for moms and dads on the move! The price is more than other ones but I promise you get what you pay for and this one is GREAT!!!! We didnt want a bunch of gawdy baby stuff everywhere and this is perfect for that. It looks classy! YOU AND BABY DESERVE CLASSY. Very well thought out product, in love with this purchase!! Thank you baby bjorn! If you found this helpful please click yes below :) My thoughts and criteria for products I review based on the Amazon's rating criteria ★★★★★ = Amazed by the product! The product was nearly if not perfect! I will purchase again and/or recommend to my friends and family! Exceeds expectations and is a great product! ★★★★ = Like the product. Product is as described and the quality is not lacking. Might have small things I would change, but no big issues. Would recommend is brought up but don’t just love it. ★★★ = This product is just okay. There are pros and there are cons. I’m not positive if I will continue to use it. This is a product that might work better for someone else but just doesn’t work great for me. Could be worth purchasing for someone else. ★★ = Not a fan of this product. Wouldn’t use the product again and wouldn’t recommend it, but I might still have one positive thing to say about the product. ★ = I hate this product. I will never use this product and maybe nothing else from the seller again. Its either throw away or return, not safe to use, or just not worth anything. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and have nothing good to say about the product.

This has ultimately been a good buy for us, although I feel annoyed every time I think about how much it cost. We started using this when our baby was 10 weeks old and we moved overseas. We wanted something lightweight, portable, and easy to stow. This meets all those requirements. I love that I can pick it up and put it in the kitchen or the bedroom or wherever I am. Our baby never really enjoyed the lower seat settings, so we only use it in the fully-upright position. She tolerates it for up to 20 minutes or so, max, but that's long enough to fold some laundry or empty the dishwasher. I also love the design and colors; I don't mind it sitting out in our living room. In the beginning, that was important when I still cared about whether my house looked like a daycare, but now that my baby is nearly six months and crawling everywhere, the whole living room is plastered in play mats and toys. Also, the toy rack is nice (although another annoying added expense). It was the first item my baby reached for, and I believe it was what taught her to use her hands. She was batting at the toy rack a full month before she started reaching for toys on the floor. Finally, I love that this thing is easy to clean. We've had a couple of blowout diapers while she was sitting in this, and it was so easy to just snap off the cover and throw it in the wash. WAY easier than a baby swing, with all the connectors and parts to disassemble. Speaking of swings, we got this in place of a swing, but I sort of regret that. Her nana bought a swing to have at her house, and the baby LOVES that thing, while she only tolerates the chair. This was a useful buy, but the cost still frustrates me (which is why I only give it 4 stars). If I turn on the fireplace and put baby in her chair in front of the fire, she will watch that thing for ages while sitting in the chair. Also *cough cough* baby einstein works well on those days when you're really desperate for 15 minutes. In other words, this thing keeps baby safe and contained when you need them to be, but it's not like baby LOVES the chair or anything.

I don't think you can really appreciate how awesome this bouncer/portable chair is unless you've used the cheaper ones first. When my daughter was born a friend of mine was nice enough to lend me her Fisher Price bouncer chair that vibrated. While it was convenient for placing the baby anywhere in the house I ended up hating it because of its design...the legs stick out in a 'V' shape and I tripped over the thing constantly. It was worse in the middle of the night when trying to get the baby to calm down and go to sleep, half asleep myself and then there I was trying not to kill us both tripping over the stupid bouncer. I noticed other reviews for the Fisher Price bouncer complaining of the same things. Whoever designed that chair should be flogged. But I digress...this bouncer is awesome for so many reasons... - Doesn't nearly kill you with poorly designed legs - Super lightweight - Doesn't require batteries (my daughter hated the vibrating feature on the Fisher Price bouncer) - Easy to remove the cloth and washes well; easy to put back on...you just slide it on and off - Easy to put baby in/take baby out - Lasts until the kid's a toddler as a toddler chair - Small physical footprint - Cleaner materials, resulting in a less toxic environment for your little one Cons: Obviously the biggest con is the price when you compare it to the much cheaper bouncers but you get what you pay for and as I mentioned above, you can't really appreciate this fact unless you've owned/used the cheaper bouncers before this. The only other con is that this doesn't come with the toy bar and for the price it should. I didn't buy the toy bar but it looks like I'm going to because my daughter gets bored after a while and drops the toys I do give her so she needs something that stays in front of her and keeps her attention. In the meantime we have slid this thing halfway under the activity gym/mat and she plays with the toys hanging down while in the bouncer. Bottom line, this is truly the best bouncer on the market and worth every penny if you can afford it. If not, do not get the Fisher Price with the legs that stick out to the side (I think all of theirs do, actually)...get anything but those, for your safety! And get the toy bar, if you can. One thing about the mesh...I got the silver mesh because I simply liked the look of it but if I had it to do over again I'd get the standard cloth version and in a dark color because my daughter has been nice enough to blow out several diapers all over this thing and while it has washed like a dream (thanks to OxyClean stain remover) I fear the day she stains it for good. However if you live in a hot climate mesh is the way to go.

Prior to our baby being born, we purchased a swing because I had previously read you do not need both a swing and a bouncer. However, our son doesn’t like his swing because buckling him in makes him fussy, and even though our swing has a detachable rocker, it is too heavy for me to conveniently carry around. Because our son has reflux, we have to hold him upright for 20-40 minutes after each feeding. This was taking up so much time every day I finally gave in and purchased this bouncer after reading the great reviews because the incline looked similar to holding him in our arms. The nurse hotline at our pediatrician office said a bouncer didn’t count as holding a child upright, but in my experience, it has worked perfectly for reflux. Not only is this the perfect place to set our son after feeding, he LOVES this bouncer and many times this is the only thing that calms him down when he is upset. There have been been nights where he refuses to go to sleep in my arms but will fall asleep immediately in this. Since it is not a safe sleeping device, I simply put him into bed once he falls asleep. I would recommend a Baby Bjorn bouncer to any new parent, and it is a must-have for any parent of a baby with reflux. The toy attachment is expensive but absolutely worth it. If this works for your baby, I would also recommend buying an extra cover. Since it can not go in the dryer, it took almost an entire day to air dry, and if you use this as much as we do, you will not want to wait two days for the cover to arrive. On the plus side, both spit up and pee easily came out in the wash, and the cover looked good as new! Note: I will say that I almost returned the bouncer after I saw the hideous warning label on the front of the bouncer that cannot be removed. It is unfortunate that a few people ruined it for everyone because the warnings are common sense and also highlighted in the instruction manual. I almost deducted a star for the label, but after further research found that it is actually required for all bouncers made after 2018 based on a new consumer safety law.
