Nice book to read about statistics. Easy language.

I liked the book because it focuses on business contexts to derive business value. It helps improve imagining business contexts like no other book. Once business context is appreciated looking for methods and technologies gets much simpler. II would recommend this book to students of business and anyone interested in Business Analytics.

Hands down the best book I have laid my hands on when it comes to business Analytics

If someone wants to get into statistical portion of data science then this is the book I will recommend. This book is neither at very basic level and nor at very advanced level. Its perfectly balanced. For machine learning part of data science you will still need to go through some other book although this book covers some topics. There are certain topics which could have been explained more clearly because of which I have decreased one star. Overall I really enjoyed this book.

The second edition of the book has a separate chapter on ensemble methods. More content is added from edition 1, it has 11 Indian cases studies (Apollo Hospitals, Flipkart, Larsen & Toubro and so on). The content is very good for PG students in Analytics and Machine Learning.

Great examples and easy to understand language

Amazing book for those who wants to learn statistical techniques & understand maths behind it. Its a foundational book for many Machine Learning algorithms like supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning algorithms.One of the best thing of this book is that all the concepts are explained in a very lucid manner to simply Complex techniques.
