Not what I expected
Around the middle of the book, I was considering giving this book 3 stars. The cover doesn't seem to match the tone of the book so I was immediately put off by the story. There was no explanation about where the story took place (or I completely zoned out if it was mentioned) so I spent the early parts trying to understand why this sounded like a country love story when the cover looked like this was about a lawyer in the city. My biggest issue with the story is the fmc. I wanted to seriously smack the girl for being so stubborn. She borderline was emotionally abusive to the male interest. The only saving grace was that he was stupidly consenting to her treatment. I don't want to give anything away but by the end I was invested in the story and actually liked the epilogue.

Realistic story, well written
As an older woman married for nearly 37 years to a younger by 12-1\2 years man, I related to this realistic story very much. Although I had 2 daughters 7 & 10 and not a grown son as in this book, it was still difficult for me to go out in public with him and I tried to ignore my feelings for him—exactly how Jillian felt. We’re both retired now and all these years later, we’re still very happily married, have a 35 yr old son, plus people think we’re the same age anyway! The reviewers who thought this story was too slow to evolve haven’t gone through the angst of feeling it isn’t right or people thinking he may be your son or questioning how he could want to be with you instead of someone his age, etc. It’s all so true and does take time to accept. In my case it was about 6 months. In my opinion, Bree was spot on with her interpretation of this type of romance story. It is a realistic, well written story with very believable and developed characters.

older woman-younger man romantic comedy
Jillian is successful, established, independent, and sleeping with a younger man, Chase. He has a hard, rugged, sculptured body and can go all night. He made Julian’s life so much better. She cannot walk away but does not want a future with him. – A 15-year age difference is significant, but it works for some. As I read the book, I realized why Jillian and Chase were so well suited. The story was interesting. I loved Jillian’s best friend, Perry, who dated Jillian’s brother. She made life more fun. [There is a sequel to this book, but I elected not to buy it.]

Wow! Who wouldn't a Chase in their life?
Wow! Who wouldn't a Chase in their life? He may be younger than Jillian but he knows what he wants. That's Jillian, it doesn't matter to him that she's older than him. He thinks she's beautiful, sexy and fell in love with her no matter her age.Jill is ok with having a lot of one night stands with Chase but thinking of going out in public with him just scares her to death. She'd rather just stay home. These two have so much to work through and I could feel both of their emotions. Could totally understand where each other was coming from. Will she be able to get over the fear of going out in public with him, will she ever be able to get over her fears. Will he be able to make her believe that he sees her and not her age?

Robbing the cradle
I had a hard time with this book but not because it wasn't a well done book it was bc I couldn't get past the age difference DON'T READ PAST HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS. So yea...I'm all for ageless love but how'd she think it'd end up with her son being practically the same age? Ew. No. Gag. But what made it worse...what ALWAYS makes it worse is when the heroine deludes herself into thinking her son would be ok w it. If your family then these things matter. AND this is the deal breaker: it doesn't matter if your kind is 1, 5, 15, 20, or 58 even, you shouldn't be parents if you set an age limit on commitment. And she kinda does...ok so he's an adult... what she did is drive a titanic rivet right in between their relationship. I for one would not be ok with sitting around the dinner table and playing family with a woman whose the same age as me and my Dad. VOMIT. Happy for them...bye bye family dinners for me. Ew. Everything else was good. HFN. Dunno if will read again.

This was a enchanting love story. Watching this story unfold was fun. I laughed, cried and screamed at Jillie. Thank God she came to her senses!

Legal Review
I love it when I get drawn into a book from the first page! I was hooked by the storyline and characters, but then I was kind of turned off when Jillian kept acting like she was ashamed of Chase and treated him like a sex object. I absolutely loved Chase. He was so mature, confident, and giving. Jillians's reaction when Chase declared his love actually angered me. I'm glad I stuck with the book, because I did enjoy it. However, I will not be reading the second book about Jullian's step-son returning as I can't take another book where her exhusband and son make Jillian feel bad about her love for Chase.

Age, Age, Age
Is there a number you will not go below/ above to be with someone? Well Jill and Chase definitely have very different opinions about that!! Jill is portrayed in a realistic way with her body and self- image issues. Chase is so taken by her he figures out ways to gain her trust and love by honoring her decisions and when necessary pushing her comfort zones. I loved this book👍 Definitely read it to see how things work out.

It was ok.
It was a good book that kept me interested. I liked Chase's character but Jillian annoyed me. And towards the end (no spoiler) the stuff with her ex made me lose all respect for her. I finished the book but won't be reading the second one.

Not my thing I guess
This book really didn't appeal to me at all. Maybe I am too young to relate to the story. I kept trying but I just couldn't get myself through to the end. It just kept repeating how young he was without adding anything to the story. This book just wasn't right to me although I am sure there are lots of women out there who would love it!

I love the way it all came together and what love can be and what it is not . Passion and sadness but I couldn’t stop reading it .
