Great guide for making kids into monsters!
I hate everything and everyone now.Rina broke me again, and I want nothing more now than my cat, Xanax, and a panic room.Deviant King is a mind screw of grand proportion full of little hints and easter eggs enough to make one bedlamite. The story is chockablock of broken characters who are far beyond repair; every damn one of them has more baggage than the Louis Vuitton outlet store. All the females are needy for love and affection but trade any hope for good things so they can live off the interest of the lies they tell themselves about the great future the could have if only they spring there trap. ---Note to Elsa, Kim, Silvers, and Blair: You ARE your cage. The only character that isn’t an A-hole of monstrous proportions is Uncle Jaxon. But don’t worry because in Steel Princess Rina breaks him too. Both books have Elsa and Aiden considering the concepts of intuition and inevitability as their opening chapter. We return to philosophy, and Sartre: Elsa and Aiden both struggles with the ultimate existential crisis: are they the player or the game? In Steel Princess, there are references throughout Aiden’s POVs of his worldview; he’s the player; manipulation won’t work on him anymore. He mastered himself in the darkness of his childhood, nursing himself upon the suffering and pain forced upon him to create a self-possessed demon without weakness — a villain entirely in control of his victim. But regardless of all Aiden’s encouragement, he hasn’t been able to get Elsa to stop being the game and to embrace her power. Elsa spent all of Deviant King saying bullies shouldn’t be understood. Rina has created her character with enough subconscious awareness to know that her amnesia, her scar, and her submissiveness are the seal on her Pandora’s box, and the key to it is to look into the abyss. So in book two, our Steel Princess is born upon the sacrificial stone of Deviant King’s poolside cliffhanger; the revelation has finally come to Elsa that she needs to remover herself from the Kings’ gameboard. But it hasn’t occurred to her that all her research on strategy and attack is absurd in the light that she refuses to recognize what she controls. She is focused on the smallest most inconsequential parts of the larger picture and settles for crumbs when she owns the bakery. This book is a rabbit hole of epiphany and discovery; admissions, confessions, and betrayals unloaded automatic assault weapon style and land like bombs. But the more you learn, the more you realize that you know nothing at all. For all of Rina Kent’s unbundling of backstory explaining what ingredients went into creating present-day Elsa and Aiden, we can’t begin to guess how two monsters will build their twisted kingdom. The last few pages only murky the waters further.I hate it. I hate how badly I want more. I want a nap. These books require multiple readings to start seeing Rina’s smart little hidden-in-plain-sight hints for Aiden, Elsa, the other horsemen, and side characters. I see new things with every read and have noticed she unmercifully diverts you from specifically stated facts through inflammatory dialogue between characters. It would help if you read the book once watching and hearing, once hearing all the conversation, and a few times with the sound off. I can assure you you will see things that will open your eyes. But I don’t recommend the obsessive investigation unless you want to join me in the misery that has me up at night penning theories in my journal and texting my therapist for psychiatric profiling answers. My wrap is that Rina mean-girl styled effed with my mind. I love her. I don’t particularly appreciate how she makes me feel. I can’t wait for her to mistreat me with the last book. And she better not let up with her story-crafting when she moves further into the other Royal Elite Series.I love the intricacies of her plot and the devastating brutality of the nature of her characters. Rina Kent is comfortable making her characters uncomfortable. I'm cool with that. She is so skilled at character development that I want her to challenge and break the horsemen and make all her heroines rage. And the people she writes are better with the more decay with which she defiles them.More.Give me more.Corrupt me too.

Great second book!
Steel Princess. Do you ever read a book and the lightbulb turns on when you realize why the author used that title? I had one of those moments.“Being enemies doesn’t change the fact that you’re mine.”Steel Princess is book two in the Aiden and Elsa trilogy. As per usual, this book two is building the bridge across, so to speak. We get clarity on some issues, while new problems arise. We still see Aiden's obsession and all the hate being fueled by some unknown entity. Where did that come from? We slowly start getting Elsa's memories back and we get glimpses into her past, connecting all the dots.“I’ll always come back for you, sweetheart. You’re a queen, not a pawn.”Elsa starts to build a back bone in this book though and she's finally standing up to Aiden and I'm loving every minute of it.

Gut wrenching
This book was dark and gut wrenching in a way I didn't expect. I suffered alongside both of them and I loved being able to see things from Aiden's POV. It was extremely emotional and as the story went on I was more and more invested.Check TWs, 18+. Highly recommend for the dark romance bully romance lovers. I'll be continuing the series

I can't take it and I love it
I love it. I love the twist. I love the turns. I love the passion and I don't typically like reading about younger couples. But this book is a great read

What the what?!
This books ending blew my mind. Just when you think you are piecing it together... bam! The whole plot changes! I was much happier that there was less bullying in this book and a lot more plot. This story took so many turns I never wanted to put it down.Elsa and Aiden are just drawn to each other and he's the dark to her light. He is domineering and possessive, but you can tell he cares about her deeply. My only complaint is him calling her sweetheart in almost every sentence. Other than that, I can't wait to start the last book!

PLOT TWIST FOR THE NEW YEARS
I’M SCREAMING RIGHT NOW!! Of all the cliffhanger endings I was thinking of, I was not thinking that!!Mind officially blown! MY GOSH! I was doing my happy dance when I saw what I was theorising to be correct at the end of the book, but then Rina just had to do another plot twist and slapped me with that! 🤯🤯Putting aside my absolutely bewildered self. I have to say that this is some dark shiz cause even with me knowing that there were gonna be lots of dark concepts here, I find myself still reeling with some concepts that appear here, and had to remind myself that this were highschool teenagers and that they were either 17 or 18. The amount of dark happening in this story is just mind blowing. All the mysteries, the forgotten past, the weird interactions—ALL OF IT! I’m invested! Off to Book 3 cause I need answers!

Holy cliffhanger Batman
🧊👑 Steel Princess 👑🧊 (Book 2 in the Royal Elite series) by Rina Kent5/5 ⭐️5/5 🌶️🧊 EXCUSE ME? What did I just read? E X C U S E M E?? I have questions Ms Kent!👑 Let’s talk about the relationship between Aiden and Elsa - completely still a push and a pull. But watching Elsa continually regain her memories - even if it takes most of the book is like watching the puzzle pieces slip together. Watching her stand up for herself with Aiden - even when it doesn’t do her any good - still just *chefs kiss*.🧊 The story evolves and moves quickly - so keep your bearings and understanding in tact because it’s one of those “if you blink you’ll miss it” moments. I was STUNNED I tell you! Absofreakinglutely stunned.👑 The side characters still make me smile. I love the building of the relationships between the four horsemen really makes me smile. I love Ronan, Cole is becoming way more alluring and Xander has this “what is it?” Factor with Kim.🧊 CLIFFHANGER BATMAN CLIFFHANGER - STUNNED. MIND BLOWN 🤯📚

Love Aiden
Love it.My thoughts:I hate Silver with a passion so when Elsa went berserker on her I was cheering her on the entire time.I liked Aiden before but now I love him. He finally started showing his colors and it was impossible for me to not love him. Also his mind blows my mind, his methods 🤯. It made me happy when Elsa finally met him head to head and started playing his game, he was proud of her and so do I.Elsa frustrates me sometimes, like it’s impossible for her to see the lengths Aiden would go for her when the signs where there right in front of her all the time but since she was dealing with a lot she gets a pass from me.I like Elsa a lot and I think she is the perfect match for Aiden.Their sexy times blows my mind sometimes, because Aiden and his mind, but also his dirty talk. The guy has game y’all 😳.That ending though, that ending left me with my jaw on the floor. Like 🤯🤬😡😮🤭😱😱. To the point where I blew up my book bestie messages cause I couldn’t contain myself and she was the one that put me in this journey so sorry not sorry 🤷♀️🙈.It was a lot and I didn’t see anything coming…I’m super intrigued to see how everything is gonna come together in the next book.
