Ordered this for my Side Hustle
I ordered this to draw attention to my Shope space at Swap Meets and other venues. The Good and the bad of this product, as I see them. I always give 1 star if the package arrives damage-free and in working order. The second star is whether I received what I ordered. You wouldn't believe how many times I've ordered one thing and gotten something completely different - more times than I want to count. This review starts with two stars, and here we go. First, I would like to explain the Bad items and how this product still warranted a 5-star rating. The documents suggest adding a .mov file to the SD card for stunning video. However, this is only true if you have all the correct settings for recording the .mov image. In reality, it takes much more than just adding the files to the SD card. Creating your designs takes time, and rendering the file in the proper resolution, pixel rate, and format requires patience and time. I do not have the time to dedicate to this. If you have the time and resources to learn new software and invest in a good Video creation tool, this is one of the best #D video fans I have found. That's all the negative I have about this product, and now you can see why I gave it five stars. Now, let's talk about the GOOD! The display quality of the 3D fan is truly exceptional, surpassing even the most detailed 8K TV or an IMAX movie screen. It exceeded all my expectations, delivering a level of crispness and lifelikeness that I never knew was possible in a video. This is why I awarded the third star, and I could continue to praise the video quality for days, but let's move on. The next star is for the preloaded content, a small sample of videos that you can access from the seller's file share. After purchasing the product, send an email with your order information to the seller to gain access to this content. Next Star is due to the company's reps having an adequate response time, although it could be improved constantly. However, it's not as bad as the response times of other companies. This responsive customer support provides a sense of reassurance and support, making your experience with the product even more enjoyable. The Next Star was given to the volume of content alone. The File share is divided into over 30 categories, with each category containing multiple video files associated with the folder Topic Name. With categories like Beverages, Halloween, Plants, and Robots, you will find something for your interest in the company's file share folder. As we move on to the next star, we consider the Directions, Help, and Organization of content, as well as the support provided for the product. The Startup guide and directions were written, unlike some of the documents I have received from Chinese manufacturers that look like documentation was written by a translator who used an older version of Google Translate and a how-to speak English workbook, which never gets anything correct. The instructions allow for smooth first-time use. If you are keeping track, this is 7 STARS!!! I know I can give more stars, and you might argue I didn't take off stars for my negative findings, but I still will scream it from the rafters that "I LOVE THIS FAN"!!! Even if you deduct two stars from my review due to the negative findings, it's still a five-star product. Customer service is also more responsive than many other sellers in the Amazon realm. I hope you have found this review helpful, and I hope it helps you make your decision easier.

Excellent Product
Excellent product. The built-in SD card contains several sample videos. Simply rename the files containing Chinese characters to any other name, and you're good to go—it works perfectly. The included software converts all the videos without any issues. Highly recommended.

Loud but cool
Looks great. The app needs a lot of work.

Waste of time and money. Don’t bother….seriously, don’t bother.
While my previous review was 5 star, here is the truth: I previously gave a 5 star review because MissYou essentially bribed me; giving a 5 star review got me a free protective fan casing; even the casing seems to be flimsy and is a pain to assemble. Don’t bother with this brand. It’s a toy compared to other companies more professional products. The app: Can you import your own images? Yes, but it took several tries of uploading before they would finally show up on the playable list, and even then you’re limited to what you can call the image. Under the Designs tab (which I couldn’t even scroll down on) there is an option to create a text sphere. No matter how many times I tried to convert and upload, it would NOT add to the playlist. Customer service: Is pretty much a joke. They don’t seem to have any actual knowledge of the product, they’re just reading off the screen. They’re headquartered in Japan, so they don’t want any phone calls because they fear the language barrier, which also means they have no other country representation. I don’t know if for some reason the product only works best in Asia or specifically Japan because that’s where the company is centralized, but this brand is seriously a waste. Save yourself frustration and headache, buy a better brand. They may be more expensive, but some have payment plans to be able to afford them.

Yes it really works like it does in their videos!
5.0 out of 5 stars: Spinning Holograms That Steal the Show (Even from a Three-Dimensional Carp!) As a singer-songwriter performing under the name The Reverend TJ, I’m a one-man tropical rock show, channeling Jimmy Buffett vibes without a band to back me up. My mission? Pry people’s faces out of their phones and get their eyes on me while I strum and sing about margaritas and Key West sunsets. My trusty pop-up banner was doing okay, but I needed a stage gimmick with some pizzazz. Enter the 3D holographic fan, my new best friend and the ultimate attention-grabber in crowded bars. Setup and Wow Factor: Let me tell you, this fan is like a Parrothead’s fever dream. Setup was a breeze—plug it in, download the app, and boom, I was uploading my own pictures and videos faster than you can say “Cheeseburger in Paradise.” I loaded it with vibrant Key West beach scenes, palm trees swaying, and even some custom graphics with my logo and social media handles (@TheReverendTJ, follow me!). The result? A mesmerizing 3D hologram spinning in the air that screams, “Look at me!” I’ve never had so many bar patrons ignore their beer and their phones to gawk at my stage setup. It’s like I’m hypnotizing them with a digital conch shell. Customization for the Win: What makes this fan a game-changer is how I can tailor it for every gig. Playing a tiki bar in Miami? I upload pics of flamingos and my Spotify link. Headlining a dive in the Keys? I toss in some manatee clips and my latest single’s album art. I even sneak in venue-specific branding to make the bar owners love me (free drinks, anyone?). Between sets, this thing doubles as a conversation starter—people can’t stop asking, “How’d you get that floating margarita up there?” It’s marketing, branding, and performance art rolled into one shiny, spinning package. The Quirky Drawbacks: Okay, it’s not all smooth sailing. The fan comes preloaded with a few images that are… let’s say, eclectic. There’s a 3D carp (yes, a fish), a Coca-Cola can, and a Merry Christmas wreath that I can’t delete, no matter how hard I try. Picture me crooning about island life while a random carp floats above my head—talk about a vibe-killer! But here’s the workaround: keep the app open on your phone, skip those images when they cycle through, and you’re back to tropical paradise. It’s a minor hiccup, like finding a seagull in your nachos—annoying but manageable. Final Verdict: This 3D holographic fan is a tropical rock performer’s dream. It’s easy to use, endlessly customizable, and turns heads faster than a free taco truck. My audiences are more engaged, my branding’s on point, and I’m pretty sure I’ve convinced at least one barfly to stream my music on Spotify. If you’re a performer looking to up your stage game, this fan is worth every penny—just watch out for that pesky carp. Five stars for making me the coolest act in the tiki bar circuit! Disclaimer: No fish were harmed in the making of this hologram, but my pride took a hit when that Christmas wreath popped up mid-set in July.

For IT Professionals ONLY!
I purchased two of these fans thinking to hang them on a bare wall to bring some interest into an otherwise bland space. Once I received the fans the unboxing and initial setup was pretty simple. They come with a TF card preloaded with files that create holographic images of a dragon, butterfly, jellyfish, camera, etc. As they are from the factory the various images on the TF card are displayed one after the other. However, I did not purchase the two fans just to have a series of preloaded images be displayed overt and over. I wanted to be able to take my own images and have then displayed as a hologram. The instructions for converting an image into a file format which the fan can read and turn into a hologram are a joke. Partially in Chinese, the instructions are a jumble of confusion. I have a university degree, my brother has a Ph.D. and together we cannot determine the steps necessary to make the fans work as intended. Communication with the company in China gets a link to videos, again in Chinese, which must skip or omit critical steps because the image I have after following the instructions will not play as a hologram on the fan. I have spent at least 30 hours trying to get some use out of these fans but as of this review they are simply collecting dust on a closet shelf. My advice is unless you are extremely familiar with the file formats used by the fans, don't waste your time or money. You really do not need yet another useless product collecting dust on a closet shelf. And if you just have to have one, send postage and I'll give you one or both of mine. Love the idea of the hologram fans but hate the impossibility of executing it!

Incredible Eye-Catching Display – Stopped Traffic at Our Trade Show Booth!
I purchased the Missyou 9.1" 3D Hologram Fan for a recent industry exhibition, and it was hands-down the best investment we made for our booth. From the moment we powered it on, the holographic effect was absolutely stunning – the floating 3D visuals look so realistic that people were literally stopping in their tracks to watch and take photos. Setup was a breeze. The fan connected instantly to both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the app is intuitive and responsive. We loved being able to upload our own custom videos as well as browse the huge built-in library of over 700 pre-loaded clips – there’s something for every theme, from futuristic animations to holiday effects and product showcases. The remote control is a nice bonus for quick adjustments without needing the phone. The LED lights are bright and vibrant, even in a well-lit convention hall, and the fan runs quietly so it never distracts from our presentations. Build quality feels solid, and it’s compact enough to pack and transport easily. This hologram fan turned our booth into the talk of the show – we had more engagement and leads than ever before. If you’re looking for a unique, high-impact display for trade shows, events, festivals, or even retail, I highly recommend the Missyou 9.1". Worth every penny!

Converting Manufacturer’s Library to Run on Fan
It has taken me two days to solve the problem of using other files with the fan. I want to cover a couple bases quickly, then I'll describe the problem I was having and the solution. 1. It worked fine out of the box. Stick it on the wall, plug it in, hit "on" on the remote (after removing the plastic battery tab) and voila! It starts displaying images. 2. After downloading the app to your phone, turn the fan on, then go to your phone wi-fi settings. You'll see a new network created by the fan. Join it. Now start the app, you should see the names of the files that are preloaded on the fan and you can you jump between them at will. You will also see a + button in the lower right corner. You can select that, then select "from mobile" which will allow you to select pics and vids from your phone's photo file, convert them, then display them on the fan. NOW, this is all well and good but I have seen some REALLY neat images on these things and was anxious to get some. I wrote the manufacturer through Amazon and they sent me a couple of google drive links that take you to ten or so zip files to download. Unzipped, these files contain a library of 700 images. I installed the converter app on my PC (it is located on the microSD card in your fan). Starting the program gave me a screen like the one below. I would use "file" to navigate to where I had unzipped the files from Missyou, and would select an interesting sounding image. There's a whole series of Dragon and Phoenix that is super cool. Selecting the file, nothing would happen. If I then clicked on "export", thinking maybe that's what starts the conversion process, the app would just shut down completely. The solution: Many, perhaps most of these files from the Google drive include Chinese characters in their names, both file and folder. The "Dragon and Phoenix" folder was actually "Dragon and Phoenix PLUSE some Chinese characters." Likewise the individual files in the folder would contain both English names and Chinese characters in their names. The GUI of the converter program can see that and will let you select it, but the .dll files in the program CANNOT recognize the Chinese characters and the program shuts down. RENAME ANYTHING that has Chinese characters in the name so that it no longer has Chinese characters. This includes folders, subfolders, and files. Once those characters are no longer part of the names the converter works just fine. Use "file" to select what you want to convert, use "export" to begin the conversion. Once your .MOV and .MP4 files are converted to .bin you can transfer the .bin files to the MicroSD card, replace it in your fan, start it all up and your new files will play just fine! Let me say again, it is not enough to rename only the files. If the file is in a folder that has Chinese characters in ITS name, the converter still won't work.
