Q: Is there any measurement or gauge of how fine the mesh is on this strainer? Doesn't look that fine in the photos to me...

It's a very fine mesh that can strain quinoa. It's woven with a thicker gauge which lends to its effectiveness. The holes are 1/10 cm.

Q: How deep are these strainers?

The depth of the strainer is equal to half the diameter of the circle. The smallest 3" strainer would be 1.5 inches deep the 4" would be 2 inches deep the 5.5" would be 2.75 inches deep and the largest 8" strainer would be 4 inches deep. The smallest one can fit in a standard coffee mug and can be used to brew loose leaf tea, the biggest one is comparable to a standard plastic strainer you buy at the store.

Q: In what country are these sifters manufactured?

most likely china. But they work and the price was right. I get it, boycot China, but you are only the people and not the CCP. It's a tough call. Lets find another way.
