If your dog's coat is thick. This will get down to the skin. My trainer gave me 3/4" prongs. So I ordered these 1 inch prongs to make sure. I believe these are only for e-collar technologies receiver. I have the mini educator and for this dog I have et800.....longer range and stronger stimulation. E-collar technologies are great.to work with. I don't know what other systems this works with.

I hate having to use the shock feature of the eCollar. I usually use just the vibrate feature. Our dog is nearly 2 years old and occasionally gets completely out of control. Like when someone walks their dog past out house, or a delivery comes to the front door. The shorter probes were totally in effective. These actually work, even though we have the shock level set very low. I test it on myself. I can feel the electric shock. It is unpleasant but does not actually “hurt”.

One of the prongs fit the collar I'm using but the other side was just a little off and it won't tighten. I have tried on both sides and it doesn't work on either. So I have only one that works.

For those that, like me, are hesitant on getting this because you’re not sure if it’ll fit on a Dogtra, don’t worry I tested it for you! It works! I have the Tom Davis Dogtra 280 C and a German Shepherd. I got the 3/4 prong replacement and it was a godsend! My GSD responded to the Dogtra at a lower level and now I can safely begin conditioning knowing there is better contact. Once the prongs were on and after playing with the levels, my GSD responded to a level 6. Switching the prongs was easy to do with some pliers. You’re welcome (:
