Hertford Fine Foods Corned Beef is a quality buy, whether in larger quantities or single purchase. The flavour is lovely, it's a great beef taste, less salty than some. Perfect for sandwiches or added to make other dishes. These are really handy to have in the cupboard, with a good shelf life. With today's prices for food, having your cupboard stocked with essentials like this helps. Hertford Fine Foods canned beef also has the same great taste, and is slightly loose, because of this I would choose the corned beef for cooking with. Which ever tinned meat you buy, I'm sure you will find a delicious use for it.

Much better than their so called ‘canned beef’ which doesn’t go firm in the fridge, and is akin to cat food! I made the mistake of buying this first time around…This does firm up, and comes out of the tin in one piece.I’ve had better, the texture is a little different than the top brands, but generally acceptable!I probably wouldn’t buy it again though!

I only used to buy well known brands of all type of products.Since the lockdown I've been obliged to accept substitutes when a specific item is out of stock or to go without.I've since discovered that brands that I'm not familiar with are just as good or better.Hereford Corned Beef is the best I've ever eaten. It's not as salty to the taste either.I won't be buying other named brands again. I'll also be mentioning Hereford Corned Beef to family and friends. I'll also give them a tin to try.I've opened about 16 tins using the traditional key system that pulls away a strip of metal with a 100% success rate. The brand names I've had the key would fail. From memory the reason could be the strip of metal is not so wide or the materials are better quality. We all know that this type of tin with small radius corners are difficult to open with a traditional tin opener.Highly recommended!
