How do u get the barrel open???????

I took an X-Acto knife, but you could probably use a thin blade to carefully go around the seem between the lid and the barrel. Then I used a small pick, you might be able to try a bent staple(bent into a small “J” shape. I slid it through the thickest gap and gently pulled up the lid. It may have been stuck from swelling or the stain not being dry when they assembled it. I lightly sanded the edge of the lid and inside the barrel to prevent it from happening again. But yeah mine was also stuck on real tight! Hope this helps anyone else who doesn’t want to go thru the return process and hopefully the manufacture fixes this issue!
