I never made yogurt. I use them to freeze/store home made soup, mostly, and the soup has usually cooled somewhat before being placed inside. However, I happen to know some of the recipients of my frozen soups reheat the soup in this container.

Are they pre sterilized? Or do you need to wash first?

I never assume anything is "pre-sterilized". One should always wash any items to be used for food prior to use.

Can these be used over and over again or are they disposable?

These containers can be used over and over again. Wash them by hand as you would any other container or in your dishwasher. They are great for left overs and can go into the freezer.

what do all the numbers mean on the lid and bottom of containers? i need to match lids with correct cups from different vendors. thanks!

The lids fit all the sizes of these containers. I suspect they are universal but I have only tried this line of containers, I bought them because the tops fit every size container so you don't have to search for the right top. I don't know what the numbers are for, I've paid no attention to them and they work fine.

Hold up to washing and microwaving!

These are great containers, good up to dishwasher and microwave really well! You don't feel bad tossing them out after a while, because they are fairly inexpensive! Better than stained Rubbermaid in my cabinets!

Great product but don't drop them

I'm very satisfied with these storage containers. They wash easy and are perfect for my household. Only negative is that if they are accidentally dropped from even only 3ft they are prone to cracking and breaking.
