Fine but don't expect too much
Coming up to Christmas this is an ideal small present for somebody. I would say ideal stocking filler but the box is a little too bulky unless you have a wide stocking! My 6 year old daughter tried this out. She enjoyed following the instructions and it was a fun activity for her but as she's at the lower end of the recommended age range she still needed a little help. Once it's been used once that's kind of the end of it though, there's nothing really to return to again. In the box is mostly paper and card but on reflection the current price (£8) is probably fair.I've rated 5 stars as its a well thought out package overall, a one stop shop for a fun activity. If the price drastically increased I think I'd probably go down to 4 stars as there isn't a lot to go back to once they've done it once.

Rubbish.
This was so boring. Difficult to understand what you actually have to do.The fingerprint section doesn't work at all, and the included coco power to dust (actually, you're instructed to "Blow" it at the surface to dust) For prints was stupidly messy, and didn't actually work.Very limited by what you can do.The fingerprint stamper doest even work as its too dark and absorbs too easily into the paper so you can't even see any fingerprints! The glasses are cool, but that's about it. We played for about 15 mins, then everything went in the bin as its pretty much a single use game. I found it difficult to understand what you were actually supposed to do, as its written like a diary insert rather than actual instructions.Would not recommend.

Good fun for a stocking or similar, but not much longevity
The main feature of this kit is a fingerprinting set. It's great fun, and is educational as promised. It's also reasonable quality. But once you have done it, I suspect even 6 year olds will swiftly lose interest. I can't see it having much longevity, hence the price seems a little steep.

Great fun family activity, for Secret Agent Boys and Girls.
This is a great horrible Histories set. Galt toys are always good quality and this is no exception. I love the quality of the card and paper, it is durable and not cheaply printed. The box has everything you need for a super fun family activity, or for friends and siblings to master the clues together. This is a stocking filler for my son and shall be the first after-dinner game, on Christmas day, can not wait :) It has glasses, a magnifying glass, a message decoder, a blank bad guy faces board and stickers to create your baddie, and best of all cocoa powder fingerprint dusting!!! Someone's going to get caught ;) There is a cute diary of events to help you find the culprit and fingerprint suspect pages to record your captives. Great fun and a good couple of hours Post Christmas Lunch giggles. Would recommend for sure :)

Horrible Science just right for 8 year olds
This game is just what my 8 year old son loves! Horrible Science and Horrible Histories is just right up his sleeve. We have several of the series and I am always happy to get him another of their games. This one is about Spies and Detectives. You can take fingerprints, you need to answer questions and really have to work your brain to find the suspect.Kids have to read the instructions and right down clues. Perfect for Keystage 2.We love this game and gladly recommend it.
