DC Comics Multiverse Wonder Woman Queen Hippolyta Figure, 6"

First Russell Crowe as Jor-El and now Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, what's next Joaquin Phoenix as Darkseid, Djimon Hounsou as Steel? Seriously I love the casting and appreciate how DC Comics Multiverse has made a Queen Hippolyta action figure.Goodness, the figure is so cool to look at. First time I laid my eyes on it I wanted it before all the rest. Connie Nielsen has been a favorite of mine since Gladiator and was more than qualified to play the role of Queen Hippolyta. The character appears in the movie for about half an hour and she lives up to her comic book character, caring, commanding, beautiful and fierce. So this is a must have.The figure resembles Hippolyta particularly from Diana's adult training, the German invasion, Steve's interrogation and her daughter's banishment. Connie Nielsen hasn't been an action figure before now and the figure has a modest resemblance. The figure is exceptionally detailed, the battle-skirt, her royal robes - that I think can be removed but best leave it on. The bracers, shoulder guards and her hair, and of course you can turn her head.Figure comes with two accessories, sword and her spear. As well as the Connect and Collect Ares arm and leg.Now for those who have amassed every part for Connect and Collect Ares here is my review. The character is amazing, once you have all the parts together you get a pretty awesome figure. Only thing is that this figure doesn't look like the character in the movie. Probably Mattel didn't want to spoil the movie by showing him like he does for the figures. DC made that mistake with Batman Mask of the Phantasm action figure. Still this looks really cool. When connected the figure is 7.5 inches tall, with his sword accessory, a waist movement that's similar to the Marvel Legends toys. The head and torso shoulders are built in a way that prevents you from turning the head. Plus, because this is a Connect and Collect figure, its design flaw is within how one connects the figure. The legs snapped nice when I connected them, but the arms are difficult to move, I'm afraid of ripping them off.The Ares figure looks really good, especially with its sword accessory, and thanks to other Exclusive figures sold by Toys R'Us and other, you get two flaming swords and a nice shield.

Can't wait to display her next to my Wonder Woman figure in her golden armor. A perfect addition to my collection and to anyone who loves anything Wonder Woman. The box came in almost perfect condition as well. If you're a collector, like me, then you know the importance.

Excellent detailed figure, movement is a little stiff and not as articulated as I would like, but even aside from limited movement, excellent display item.
