I bought this back in Feb and tried it a few times with rather disappointing results. I thought maybe the directions were a little exaggerated and I used it like other leave in products. Sprayed it into my hair, combed through, applied my usual anti-frizz serum and then blow dried as usual flipping my hair upside down. THIS IS NOT IT! A few Weeks ago I tried it again because my hair was just a frizzy dry mess. I decided to follow the directions to the letter. I sectioned my towel dried hair that was still pretty wet. Sprayed each section LIBERALLY, like, more than I thought I ever should and combed each section through before moving on to the next. I skipped any other product in my hair which kind of terrified me. I let air dry a bit before blow drying with my giant air brush, again, going in sections and using tension and high heat. I was literally floored by the results! My hair was soft, felt like silk, was SUPER smooth and INSANELY shiny!!!! Since using this product the right way, my super dry, frizzy, crunchy hair has been the complete opposite. My co-workers all thought I had gotten my hair done at a salon, had my hair colored, had my hair cut….none of which has happened. My hair is easier to style and curl, it has bounce and movement. It glistens without looking oily. My only criticism is the design of the bottle. It’s not very ergonomic and the nozzle spins and I’ll lose my grip on it throughout application. So, I transferred the product into a different spray bottle that is much easier to hold while spraying. The moral of this story ladies and gentlemen is that you MUST follow the directions!! I can’t stress that enough. When they call it a coat, they mean it. Each section of your hair needs to be coating thoroughly and absolutely saturated by the product. Just spraying it into your hair isn’t going to do the trick. You also need heat with tension. Just blow drying won’t do it. Yes it takes a bit more time, but the results in applying it and blow drying correctly are worth it. I don’t notice a scent really. My hair just smells clean. I also notice my hair doesn’t get as oily as quickly. I was also surprised that no other products were needed at all. No leave in condition, no oil, serum nothing.

Holy WOW is this stuff great. Two things; I don’t usually write reviews and I don’t usually use any more hair products than I absolutely have to. This is something unlike anything I’ve ever used—it feels like hydration without product residue or slick but useless oils. It definitely makes my hair feel and look better when drying. It feels healthy and light yet somehow fantastically effective to calm, smooth, protect and nourish your hair. I know. I wouldn’t believe me either. Even the next day my hair looks somehow better? It’s still clean, smoothed in gentle waves than could (or would) make and basically the best second day hair I’ve ever had. I would drink a case of you, WOW Dream Coat (shout out Joni Mitchell). And to whomever invented this magic potion, I hope your pillow is cold on both sides and you swim in a pool with a bottomless swim-up bar. You deserve it.

My daughter has 3b-3c curly hair. Her curls form beautiful spirals and are very bouncy. I recently straightened her hair for her after she requested it and her hair didn’t last a day. It was already reverting back to curly the same night and she was so disappointed. I remembered we had this product and used it previously with great success so I convinced her to try again and this time she was over the moon. Her hair was silky smooth and so shiny. I could barely get it to wrap to put it in the bonnet at night for bedtime because of how silky her hair was. I included a video of how shiny the product made her hair. We don’t get these results without color wow. I love that it has heat protectant in it so I don’t have to add any other products to her hair and it stays clean and flows beautifully once we are done. I use a pea sized amount of biosilk serum on her ends to protect them but that’s it. No touch ups, no extra heat throughout the week. It literally looks like a silk press from a salon even though I used a regular straightener. The product is heat activated so you have to heat style. You also must apply it liberally but it doesn’t leave residue or make the hair sticky or greasy like some heat protectants do. I will forever recommend and use this product and the formula as it is now. Update: We have continued to use this product with great success! It still gives the best results over any other brand out there and it seals out humidity that causes hair to revert back to curly after the flat iron. I noticed some reviews mentioning a burnt smell, not so smooth results or a sticky feeling after using the product. This happens when the hair is not completely clean. Product build up is a thing. Shampoo more than once and use a clarifying shampoo prior to using this because it’s all you need. No oils, no leave-ins, no serums prior to color wow and styling. You can add oil or a serum after you are done not before and you’ll get the amazing results you’re looking for. Also, apply liberally means EXACTLY that! Apply it everywhere and not sparingly. I typically towel dry to 50%, detangle, section, and apply the product to nearly 80% just shy of dripping then go in with the blow dryer and a round brush under tension. Once it’s completely dry I pass through each section again with a flat iron on medium-high heat two or three times. This product has heat protectant in it and it’s heat activated you MUST use heat. If you aren’t getting silky smooth, shiny, full of body hair you probably aren’t using the product correctly or you need to get help during the styling so you can keep tension on your hair during the drying process. My daughter’s hair stays shiny and moves freely like a salon silk press for a week before it starts to get greasy from her natural oils from her scalp. We wrap it at night and that’s it. I never have to touch up before it’s time to wash it. Hopefully, this helps troubleshoot. If it’s sticky, shampoo until there’s absolutely nothing on your scalp or hair and only apply color wow. If it’s not smooth, keep tension on your round brush while blow drying. If it smells burnt, that’s your hair. Apply it liberally (meaning drown it) it’s a heat protectant you need that to keep your hair from burning.

I got the travel size to try this out after seeing all the hype about it last year. It does work, but I didn’t get quite the results that everyone else seemed to have. Maybe it’s because I didn’t also use all the other products on top of this one, but my hair definitely isn’t as shiny and smooth as most others’ was. I’m gonna break this down in pros and cons. Pros: 1. It does protect against humidity and moisture. I dropped water on my hair and it beaded off. 2. It prevents my hair from getting frizzy and wavy. Usually I have problems with my hair getting any again within hours of blow-drying it or straightening it, but it does not do that with this product. 3. I think it may actually help with static! Usually my hair gets insanely static after using any heat tools and it hasn’t been nearly as bad while using this. 4. While you have to use a ton of this product to get results, it does not leave any residue AT ALL on your hair. My hair feels soft and light, not stiff or sticky or oily. That impressed me so much with this cuz I used soooo much. Cons: 1. You have to use so much of this product to achieve the results it promises. Like I bought a travel sized bottle and used the entire thing in 2 uses. (Make note that I do have lots of long, fine hair so I generally have to use more product than most anyways.) 2. It doesn’t leave my hair looking any different than any other products. I was kind of hoping for that shiny, sleek look that others got and I didn’t even get close to that. 3. Price! This is so expensive for the number of uses I would get out of it. Literally I would be spending $30-$35 for maybe 10 uses, if that! Overall, I was happy with the results in regard to anti frizz and humidity protection, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again because of the price.

Loved this stuff!! I have hair that shows frizz. I sectioned my hair in four and sprayed from top to ends combed through and blow dried as normal with round brush. My hair came out amazing, shine, smooth and no flyaways. Definitely getting the larger bottle in my next order!

This is a good product but the claims are a bit much. It's does not persist between washes. It'll help straighten your hair and keep it stiff like hairspray. I've done the experimentation and here are my sharpened directions. This product applies a polymer (plastic) film to your hair. The polymerization needs heat and moisture but not too much heat. Flat irons, hair straighteners won't work. They'll smoke. Don't bother. Don't combine with any other products. Works best with damp hair because that allows the product to spread evenly. Lightly comb hair when damp and then apply. Target hair 6 inches down from scalp to avoid irritation. Don't spray on your head. Divide hair into sections and spray enough to fully saturate the section. Then use blow dryer on high heat with comb attachment. Don't bother without comb attachment. It won't work without comb attachment. Hot AIR needs to flow through each section. Do a couple of passes and your hair will be as stiff as a brush. Then style and you're done.

This does exactly what it says it will do! Believe the hype! I’m so cautious on what I put on my hair but I took the gamble because of the good reviews. I’ll mist this heavily on damp hair before I blow dry my hair. It makes my hair so shiny, smooth and tames the fly always! I’m really impressed. I have thin hair also and it does not weigh my hair down at all, it makes my hair look better than if I air dried or blow dried without any products. Since I naturally have mostly straight hair , this makes it look so nice that I don’t even have to straighten it with a flat iron after blow drying.

I got it to see the hype. Im a natural 90% of the time. When the weather gets Cool-Cold ill straighten for a cut... let's see, so... its just as Good as John Freedas Frizz Ease spray ...does the same for my 4C Afro, straightens, and the Day 1 and 2 of an at home silk press always eats but by day 3 my hair started to fluff in this Miami humidity (not my roots at all, but my Ends) it seems like it throwing Clip-Ins in made my Ends poof up even more, becuse my hair is not Ironed enough to Hold bone straigbt straight. I even cut my ends but the Moisture in the air kept me fluffy. But I did love the 1st day results and kept my hair straight for almost 2 weeks - Using the Hot Curler didn't help either, my hair fell within 30 mins into fluff.. as far as washing this out, Even though my hair was fluffy from the humidity my curls Struggled to come back in the wash from the Keratin likeness so I did a twist out on semi straight fluffed hair lol. The moose I used reactivated my curls so. We good.
