A Nighttime Ritual That Delivers Soft Lips Without the Drama
I’ve been slathering on the NUXE Very Rose Organic Lip Balm (0.52 oz pot) for a couple of months now, mostly as my pre-bedtime armor against the desert my lips turn into overnight. This 100% natural formula—with rose oil extract, shea butter, and beeswax—promises to soothe cracked, dry lips while adding a subtle glow, and it lives up to the hype without any of the sticky residue. Below, I break down quality, texture, scent, ingredients, moisturizing properties, shine, look, packaging, and value for money based on my routine use. Quality: NUXE doesn’t skimp here—this feels like a premium pick from a French pharmacy shelf, with consistent performance across batches and no weird separation or hardening in the pot. It’s certified organic and cruelty-free. After weeks, it’s still as effective as day one, which is more than I can say for the bargain balms that flake out after a fortnight. Texture: Velvety and melt-away, like a luxurious pat of butter that dissolves on contact—no thick, waxy drag or greasy film. It glides on smooth with a fingertip, absorbing just enough to feel nourished. A little goes a long way with this balm. If you overdo it, it can feel like a thick, high-shine lip gloss that's more suited for a night out than bedtime. Scent: A soft rose-vanilla scent that I like—although it may not suit everyone. It’s not candy-sweet or floral bomb; think subtle rose that fades to nothing after a minute. Ingredients: Spot-on for natural-leaning folks: 100% natural-origin, with organic rose oil extract for soothing, shea butter and beeswax for barrier protection, and a clean lineup (no parabens, silicones, or synthetics). It’s vegan-friendly in intent but includes beeswax, so check if that’s a dealbreaker. Third-party certified and transparent labeling make it trustworthy—no hidden junk to second-guess. Moisturizing Properties: This is where it earns its keep—deeply hydrating without greasiness, locking in moisture overnight so I wake up to lips that are actually soft, not cracked like autumn leaves. A small dab before bed tackles dryness from wind or occasional lip chewing, and it layers well under daytime gloss if needed. Lips feel supple by morning, no midday reapply required. Shine: Subtle and natural—a delicate sheen that enhances without looking like you slathered on gloss. It’s more “healthy glow” than high-shine, fading to a comfortable matte as it absorbs. Great for low-key enhancement; nothing flashy, just enough to make your pout look less like it survived a sandstorm. Look: Though the balm is a gorgeous pale pink the pot, it doesn't show any tint on the lips. Overall, it’s the understated “you look rested” vibe, ideal for when makeup’s optional. Packaging: A pretty pink twist-cap glass jar that feels luxuriously weighty in the hand that’s purse-sized and spill-proof. Despite being glass, it’s sturdy enough such that I'm not afraid to toss it into my bag or let it clink around in there. Value for Money: At $20 for 0.52 oz (several months’ worth with nightly use), it’s a fair splurge—pricier than drugstore basics ($5-8) but cheaper than luxury pots ($25+). The organic purity and long-lasting hydration make it worth the markup; I’d rather invest in something that actually works overnight than cycle through duds. Additional Notes: The balm melts beautifully just using your fingers. Dab a little from the pot and blend onto your lips. A little goes a long way. It’s non-comedogenic, so no worries for sensitive skin around the mouth. Conclusion: NUXE Very Rose Organic Lip Balm is a quiet luxury—premium quality, dreamy texture, subtle scent, clean ingredients, overnight moisture magic, natural shine, flattering look, smart packaging, and solid value. It’s earned a permanent spot on my nightstand as a overnight lip mask. 5 stars for lips that wake up ready for the day.

Hydrating
Great lip balm! Feels and smells great. Very hydrating also.

Comfortable, appreciate the glass pot
Balm is matte in the glass pot which lends a touch of luxe. No shine to speak of on lips. Hardly any scent, no taste, barely any color-great for men or women wanting to wear it for just that, a balm. I wear lip balm to sleep along with my night face cream and eye cream. This will work great. I do like a scent and or taste and a little color is fun too. That said, it’s a little pricey (tho on par for this brand) for what you get. It will be a while before it’s empty. I may or may not repurchase

Just as good as the Honey version, but has a candy scent
Agree with other users that this version has an odd candy smell to it and it’s not rosy at all. But still works as a very strong lip balm if you don’t mind the candy scent.

Silky smooth lip balm, 10/10!
Feels exquisite! Goes on nicely, not at all tacky or sticky. I hate the feeling of lip balms with too much beeswax - this balm goes on smoothly and soaks in without that waxy coat that many leave behind. Winner!

Wanted to like this, but seems a little questionable
I typically love this lip balm. This may be more of a seller issue, but there was sort of “sweating” within the tub, so I have been hesitant to use it much.

Not good!
After using this, I really don’t like it it’s greasy not matter like the original so you can’t apply lipstick over it. It does not smell like roses at all. Just not good. I’m very disappointed 😞

Pretty package, feels gritty & not enough rose.
Pretty packaging. Doesn't smell like roses, but smells clean and slightly floral. It's gritty. You have to keep massaging it into your lips with your finger to get rid of the gritty feeling.
