I buy these for my father in law who absolutely loves them - he is 89 and not in the best of health but looks forward to receiving them. Good value too as it is a large bag.

These are very tasty, however, if you do get a bit greedy and decide to eat 2 gobstoppers in one go you should avoid eating both a black and pink colour at the same time. Why? For some reason, eating a black and pink gobstopper at the same time seems to create a disgusting taste in your mouth. I would note that the disgusting taste seems to only last several seconds and after that it's absolutely fine. If you don't eat multiple gobstoppers at the same time then this problem doesn't apply and they are just very tasty.

These really do taste like the original fizzy cola bottles - sharp. They seem rather firm - quite easy to break rather than being really gel-like. Not as chewy as I'm used to. Whether this is just this particular pack or normal for this brand I don't know - I'll find out next time I order. As they taste good I will try them again. However, if the next pack is the same then I will try another brand.

I’m greedy, if I bought a small of Pontefract Cakes they would be gone in one.The large bags sits in a drawer open and I duck my hand and pull out two, delicious.For me, leaving the bag open doesn’t diminish their taste, but some might disagree. I want the quickest satisfaction.
