Excellent Heavy quality stone mortar and pestles. This one is heavy, big on the inside and has two pestles both made of the same stone. Followed directions to wash and season, cleaned right up. Classy unit.

Beautiful and Heavy lol
It's very heavy which is great for it's intended use. Imagine having one that slid around instead, and how annoying that would be. But this is very sturdy and reliable. Not to mention easy to look at.

Awesome! Totally Awesome!
Having had a much smaller mortar and pestle, I finally broke down and upgraded to this much larger unit. Sure wish I had done this years ago. The rubber pad that attaches to bottom, along with weight gives this very good stability, even when you're putting some effort and energy into what you're grinding, it stays in place.The small etchings/grooves in the bottom of the bowl is a great addition and enhances its ability in grinding, very nice touch! The extra pestle is just in case you drop and break one. Cleanup is easy, water and sponge...and done.After struggling with a much smaller and lesser quantity mortar/pestle unit I can whole heartily recommend this 2 cup unit! The cup is nice and deep so that helps to keep stuff inside. So go ahead and up grade yourself. I would buy this again for myself or as a gift to a close friend.

Heavy Duty Perfection!
What I had expected versus what I received is mind blowing. I had been shopping around for a heavy duty set and this surpassed what I have been finding! The size is great, the feel of the item is wonderful and heavy knowing there will be no slips or movement while grinding items. Awesome work! So excited to use this item

Really nice, rough bowl mortar. Great price.
Great for the price. Good size. Very rough bowl perfect for making guac. Just be sure to grind some rice and salt a few times prior to using with food you will eat to get out any manufacturing grit or loose bits of the stone .
