(I have thick, curly, coarse hair) The smell isn’t bad, it’s not overpowering and it’s pretty subtle. It does not linger after your hair has dried, so if you’re sensitive to scents this should be fine. The scent says coconut but I don’t really smell coconut. I’m not exactly sure what I’m even smelling but it’s not bad. The texture is quite jelly like, I like how it feels and it’s not watery/loose where you can feel it’s not going to give a good hold unlike some other gels. It’s quite thick. I’ve only used this gel so far for wash-and-go’s, it’s given my curls good hold and shine. The size is also good, 17.5 ounces. The price isn’t bad for the size and quality you’re getting. Sure, with some other gels you might be paying a bit less but you’re getting less product & product/quality that might not even be as good as this one. And if you don’t have as much hair as me or as thick, then it’ll definitely last you longer too.

This product has an amazing texture and will hold your curls perfect till the next wash day. The downside for me was that this is very irritating if by any reason gets to the scalp. Methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone (which are known for causing itchy and irritated skin) are on the first 5 ingredients... so if you are really into plopping or applying gel close to your scalp this is something to consider. Made my scalp itch like crazy whenever I was plopping and after doing my research I found out the reason! Bummer!

Every spring and summer I go through a slight obsession with Brazilian hair products like salonline and novex..it is always worth it! I’ll be sticking to them for the foreseeable future. This gel is better than I expected! It’s the super hold gelatin. They have others I’ve tried and my hair does not like the light hold ones. This is comparable to the hold of Eco styler but is also moisturizing as it has actual nutrients included in the ingredients. *Hold✅ *shine✅ *healthy look✅ *slip✅ *delicious smell✅ *can stretch the hair without a stringy look✅ So pleased with this gel and will purchase it again! P.s. the pictures are hair completely dry before stretching it more.

Love this hair gel! Doesn’t make my curls too crunchy, just right. I put it in my hair while it is still wet, and it gives me the perfect hold. I have type 2b curls, thinner type of hair. Taking one star because it was shipped in a flimsy envelope so the lid was completely broken and the product was leaking. This should be shipped in a box with stuffing.
