Twisted Love: the must-read brother's best friend romance

I can’t lie when I say this is the first book in ages that has kept me in a chokehold. I was flooded in emotions; love, heartbreak, curiosity the whole lot. I love how there was more of a story and a background to the characters which explained why they were who they were. I like the detail in the background because it focused on the story rather than, like some books, the smuttiness. Whilst there isn’t very many detailed s*x scenes there are definitely ones to make you imagine, and of course the detailed ones were juicy.All in all you should definitely read this book. 10/10

I loved this book more than i thought i would. I found it recommended on tiktok and ran to KU, and im so glad I did.Alex was delightful with his hot /cold personality, and Ava was a ray of sunshine you can't not love!I loved the spice, the chemistry, the plot twists, and surprises. All the friends were a joy to readI loved Josh and how good he was as a brother, I can't wait to start his book soon!4.5***Onto book two

So I caved an bought the twisted series! An wow I'm glad I did, the storyline in these books are brilliant and do cross over from the others in the series. Twisted Love was a good favourite, although it reminded me closly of another book franchise, i was expecting something else after all the hype but it was good nontheless. I will definitely reread them. It took me a week to read all four books I couldn't put them down, the storylines are that good you can really envision the characters. It really tests your emotions. Ana Huang is a brilliant writer and I can't wait to read her other books. Although I won't order these until a few days before my holiday, I bought 6 and I've read them all!I did find that buying the books individually was alot cheaper than buying the set in one go, so I'd check that before you buy. I did enjoy this story greatly. I love intense, passionate romances, and that's what this story was. The characters were very real and written beautifully. The author is a very good writer. That being said, there's a reason I give this story 3 stars and not 5. I hope I don't put anyone off this book. It is a good read! Here goes:- Alex's mysterious background and connection with everyone and everything just seems so unrealistic. He has connections to the president and British royalty and has his own clean up crew to bury bodies - sorry for the minor spoiler but you'll find out from the very start that Alex is a very dark anti-hero character. This book was basically a mafia story without the involvement of the mafia. All his extra curricular activities and knowledge of knowing everything just seemed really unrealistic is all I'm saying. That leads me to my next point.- Alex's dark past and his continuous illegal activities poses the question how can Ava and him be together given that Ava is the complete opposite of him. I get that she loves him and makes him a better person and he is a good person at heart, but there's so much more to relationships than love. Like having the same morals. Ava is shown to be really soft hearted and kind so how can she be willing to be with someone who resorts to violence so fast? - sorry now I just sound like I'm really invested in this fictional relationships, but hey, that's a testament to the author's brilliant writing and characterisation.- Another reason for the 3 stars - I very much enjoy spicy books, I mean come on, it's part of the reason why we all chose to read this, lol. That being said, I like romantic spicy scenes, I get that sometimes it's all action and some enjoy reading those scenes, but this novel was only ridiculously objective spicy scenes. It wasn't emotional enough, even when it should've been after big romantic outburst and speeches. And also some of Alex's choice of words in the bedroom were very vulgar but I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea and some may enjoy it.I hope I didn't deter you from reading this book. It is a good read with a good plot. I just wanted to be honest to give some insight to the next reader.I hope you enjoy this story x

Ava & Alex's chemistry was so hot & the spice was just delicious!I could not put this book down.Can’t wait to start Twisted Games 🖤

Such a good book, I did notice a couple minor spelling mistakes however that didn't take away from how good the book was. I was unable to put it down.

This was my first book by this author, and I was pleasantly happy when BookTok didn't disappoint me this time. This book deserves all the hype it gets! I'm officially a fan, and you can consider me part of the twisted squad.First of all, Alex is my new book bae 🥵 He gives all the book boyfriend vibes that we love. He's morally gray, broody, mysterious, a total Alphahole that only has a soft heart for the few people he cares for, and he would burn the world down for her.Ava was sweet but sassy. She was literally Alex's Sunshine, the light to his dark. She always sees the best in people and just wants someone to love her. And boy, does Alex love her 🥰 She isn't a weak character either, though. She's confident and holds her own when push comes to shove.I loved the growth that both characters showed! I really liked the side characters as well and look forward to reading more about them in the next books.The writing was engaging and kept me hooked. The pacing was good, easy to follow and didn't drag. There was a nice plot twist as well.Bottom line: I would recommend to all contemporary romance lovers looking for a easy read with spice.

Discovered it because of booktok. Loved this book so much! Now all my close friends are also reading it. The plot is a perfect balance between romance, suspense and drama. Please don't expect to be reading Shakespeare. It's an entertainment book and it does just that: entertain! The perfect read for summer/vacation time
