Perimom Perineal Massage kit (Perimom Perineal Massage Tool & Perineal Massage Oil)

I absolutely love this product! My skin is very sensitive, and this doesn’t bother it at all. I bought it to help with perineal massage, to prepare for labor. I used lubricants before it arrived, and they didn’t do the trick. When this arrived, my perineal massages went from painful to comfortable. I was able to successfully prepare for labor, and didn’t tear during my delivery! I’ve also used the oil as lubricant during intimacy, and it works great. It doesn’t dry out and a little goes a long way. I’ll be buying it again!

Went to a pelvic floor physical therapist during my pregnancy cause I was having some discomfort/pain especially when walking. Since I was also doing PT exercises and stuff, it's hard to say how much of my success was due to this product specifically but my pelvic floor is in remarkable shape after birth and I only had minor labial tearing. Only complaint is that I found it awkward to hold despite it supposedly being ergonomic. Also might not be great for left-handed folks.

I was really worried about tearing, so I bought this. I ended up with a level 2 tear. I used this product 5 times a week for the 3-4 weeks before labor. I am fairly certain that this helped prevent a level 3-4 tear. So, I'm glad I did it and I would recommend this product to others. But, I think the wand is really overpriced for a lump of plastic.

I used this with the almond oil every day starting at 34 weeks pregnant. At 38 weeks I went into labor. I had a all natural labor, and I didn’t tear or anything. I believe this helped me have more control over my muscles and body.

Tried this for pregnancy. I had a bad reaction to the oil provided, and although I used it as directed I still ended up with a 1st degree tear. Granted maybe it would have been worse if I hadn’t used this, but I also did a lot of other things to help stretch and didn’t rush my labor so we will never know. Worth a try, but I’d get a different oil if you’re sensitive like me. Also it’s a bit overpriced in my opinion.

I ordered this product directly through Perimom, but I have recommended friends buy it through Amazon since most folks have prime. I used this tool for 6 weeks every other day or two, for 5-10 minutes. I can't be 100% that it resulting in my having very minimal tearing, but I did so I'd say it may have had some impact.

Please be aware that for self use, it is a “right handed” tool. I’m left handed and I was quite confused when I initially opened it. Haven’t used it yet but will update when I do.
