Affordable Good 50 Ohm TYpe-N Connector for HAM and Scanner use.
I purchase the N-Female to Female connector with the 4 hole flange mount to attach to a DXEngineering DXE-CGB-150 plate. The plate and connectors mount on the leg of a Rohn 25 tower and interconnect the antenna pigtails to the transmission lines. My application was for Amateur Radio 2-meter & 70-cm communications. I also used these connectors on my scanners which receive VHF signals in the 150-150 MHz, and UHF digital signals in the 650-750 MHz range. The connector is machined very well but a little tight into the main hole on the plate. If anything, the connector barrel is 1/1000” larger than the hole in the CGB-150 plate.(4) each 4-40 x 3/8" flat socket cap screws, flat washers, and #4 "thin" lock washers are used to mount the connector. (Not included with connector!)A measurement was made on the connector to check for impedance bump. Type-N spec is DC - 11 GHz, max loss 1.30 dB. At 700 MHz, (center of Ohio MARCS band), the loss was measured at 0.43 dB, which is more than acceptable for this connector. At 150 MHz the loss was measured at 0.38 dB.I'm pleased in the quality of the product. I will likely buy more for projects in the future.Note: if using outside, don't forget to waterproof the connector(s) and coax. 3:1 heat shrink with glue, over one wrap of Scotch Super 88 “tight” electrical tape is recommended. If you live in northern latitudes water can get into the threads, freeze, and corrode/loosen/crack the connector. Caps shown picture over threads are for dust only, and not waterproof or UV resistant to outdoor use.

Great item for added radio flexability
In my 4x4 Off-Roader I use two walkie-talkies, Quad-bands. One is "stationary" on the dashboard with an external mic, the other for the spotter on foot. These connectors were great to have when setting up the system design I decided to have.
