Movie Theater Style!
I received an electric popcorn maker and so I researched for what would be the best products to use in it. I read about Wabash Valley Farms Popping Oil, like used in the movie theaters and decided that was the one I wanted. It has the machine recommended Coconut Oil and it has the color and flavor I am looking for.Following the machine's directions, I added the popping oil and corn. Before I knew it, the popcorn was popping all over inside the machine and every single kernel popped! It came out perfect and delicious and Wabash Valley Farms is the only brand I'll use from now on. I love it!

Totally delicious
My friend bought me the most highly rated popcorn so I certainly wanted to match it in my Whirly Pop with the best oil. Butter flavored Coconut oil melts quickly and tastes great without being greasy. This is my new go-to.

Great, just realize what you're buying
First off, for those that think this product has gone bad because it has become solid - You're mistaken. Coconut oil turns solid at room temp, that's just the nature of it. Second, for those that say it adds no flavor - You're also mistaken. This oil has butter flavoring added. You'll quickly realize this if you taste it by itself. No, just using this oil won't make your popcorn really buttery flavored, as you can't expect a tablespoon of flavored oil to add that much flavor per kernel when you're making a huge bowl of popcorn. You should add Flavacol at a minimum, and other toppings/butter if you really need something thats majorly flavorful. Personally, this with Flavacol is all I use, its exactly the movie theater type taste I like. Also, please be aware of the size you're actually getting for the price. This thing is pretty small, but I think its worth it for the quality and the fact that I don't need a huge gallon container of coconut oil taking up space in my cabinets. Its enough to last most people for a while. Overall, I highly recommend this product and I'm sure I'll be buying it again.

Good but expensive
This is a good choice for the occasional popcorn eater. I only have it once in a while, but when I do, I like the theater style popcorn you get with the butter flavored coconut oil. For the occasional popcorn eater this will work fine but if you like your popcorn a couple times a week, this is incredibly expensive per ounce. For a few dollars more you can get a gallon tub of this style popping corn oil. But for me, it took a couple years to go through the 16 oz (now its 15.25 oz) jar, and I have no place to store a gallon tub. 1 ½ Tablespoons of the oil to ¼ cup popcorn, with ¼ oz. butter flavored popcorn salt (in with the oil so they all pop together), and you have theater style popcorn. Keep in mind this is coconut oil so it is solid until it gets above 76 degrees.

Best popcorn oil
I have been using this for several years. So good. May cost a little more, but well worth it. The taste of popcorn cooked in this is awesome.

No discernible butter flavor
It works as advertised, meaning that it pops popcorn. And the result is remarkably similar to what you might get at a movie theatre. The resulting popcorn has a slight yellow/orange tint, very similar to the color of the product. But there is no discernible butter flavor to the popcorn.I did a comparison with straight coconut oil, without the added color and flavor. I popped one batch in the straight coconut oil, then followed with a batch using this product. As stated above, this product gives the popcorn a definite color. But other than the color there was no difference between the two batches. They both tasted exactly the same.Because the added butter flavor doesn't translate to the popcorn, I believe this product is not worth the price paid for it. You would be better off buying and using straight coconut oil and adding your own butter after it is popped. It will be cheaper and taste better.

Love this oil...best popcorn ever!
I love this popping oil. I've tried straight vegetable oil, and the Orville Redenbacher popcorn oil and nothing really compares. The container is small in size, although depending on how you pop your corn, you don't need much. Just using this oil makes a difference in the popcorn, but I did find that in order to get the complete movie theater taste, you have to add Flavacol to the oil before popping. As others have mentioned, the oil is part of the perfect popcorn recipe, but not the only thing needed.I was so impressed with this oil, that I sent a friend a container (along with Flavacol) as a gift. She told me it was the best popcorn she'd ever had. I will continue to buy this for my popcorn.
