I'd heard of hair masks before but I was hesitant to ever try one. I figured using my conditioner in the shower should be enough and I was worried it would just end up looking like I had super greasy hair. I grow my hair out long and then cut it short to donate, so I go long periods of time without getting it cut. I decided maybe my conditioner wasn't keeping my hair as soft as I wanted it to so I thought it was time to try a hair mask. As you've read above, I was skeptical. I figured a hair mask was nothing more than conditioner and I wouldn't notice much of a difference, or it would leave my hair feeling odd. I honestly didn't expect any real results. I tried the mask after using the Top Care Repair shampoo. I washed my hair, towel-dried it, and applied the mask. The mask was easy to comb through my hair but I was still worried about it looking greasy because it felt very oily. I left it in my hair for 10 minutes and thoroughly rinsed it out. The scent is nice. It's not something I would have chosen based on the scent alone but it's not off-putting. It's a light scent that is clean and leaves your hair smelling clean throughout the day. I don't blow dry my hair so I had to wait for my hair to dry to really see the results. Not only did I see them but I could feel them as well. The mask eliminated the damaged hair fuzzies I often get on the top of my head and I couldn't believe how smooth my hair felt. I was extremely impressed with the results but I thought maybe it would only last until I washed my hair again. Nope. I've washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner at least 6 times since using the hair mask and my hair is still feeling so much softer than it was before. I think this will be a monthly thing I'll use to help keep my hair as nice as possible for the charity Children with Hair Loss. I want to make sure my hair is healthy, soft, and useful for years to come. I'm super pleased with this mask and I'm so glad I took a chance on it!

I got the matching shampoo to this conditioner. So I washed with that first. Instructions say to towel dry, leave in about 15 mins and wash out. Let's be real, I am not gonna shower, get out to do this and then hop back in to wash it out again. So what I did was wash my hair first, squeeze out as much excess water as possible, applied this mask and then took a nice long shower before washing it out. Maybe the results reflect my method, but I didn't find any noticeable difference using this product, compared to my normal conditioner. On top of that, this conditioner has such a strong perfume smell that stays in your hair. I wash my hair every other day and the scent stayed until my next wash. This wouldn't be a bad thing except that I did not like the way it smells at all. I would not get this again.

This product did make a noticeable improvement. My hair is shinier, and the fly-aways are much smoother. I was a little worried that it would be too heavy for my thin hair, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The main drawback is the smell. It's not unpleasant, but it's not pleasant either. It was a faint perfume smell, but like a chemical perfume. I prefer rich, organic scents, and this did not have that. I will probably continue to use this every week or two, but don't think I will buy it again.
