Pine Tree Tools Professional Hedge Shears

NOTE: These are exceptionally high quality hedge shears. They are not pruning shears. I would say that anything over 1/4 inch should be cut with pruning shears - not hedge shears. I have used dozens of hedge shears over the past 50 years. These are the closest cutting and sharp hedge shears that I have ever used.. If someone gives them a bad review it is because they are misusing them as pruners and not hedge shears. I have used them very successfully in shaping Eugenia shrubs as topiary. They are very light and can be used for long periods of time. They maintain a sharp edge. I have used them for three years on a weekly basis.

Absolutely fantastic! I have never owned pruning shears that cut so precise. I would highly recommend these shears to any professional gardener or amateur gardener. The blades are razor sharp and the mechanism is precise to give a clean cut. The electric or gasoline hedge trimmers damage the branches which is not the case with these hedge shears. These hedge shears are also superlight so fatigue is not a problem any more. The long handles give excellent leverage and extended reach for those difficult to get to branches. My hedges are now in perfect shape and I get so much joy and contentment from using these pruning shears. The customer care of this company is absolutely awesome and I will easily purchase from them again.

“Hardened and tempered high carbon steel blades” this hedge shear is NOT! Blade snapped in two while cutting 3/8” mock orange branch after third use. Seller does not have replacement blades and referral to manufacturer was not helpful.

I absolutely love my new hedge shears. I've tried several others including battery powered and those with an electric cord. The Pine Tree shears are far and away the best I have ever used. I am not too tall and not too young so the long handles and light weight of the shears make them perfect for me. I also love that the blades are replaceable . An amazing value!

I ready many reviews prior to ordering this hedge/shrub trimmer; and, I can say the positive reviews were spot on. I used the tool this morning to trim a shrub in our yard; it took me almost no time at all from beginning to end. And the handles are actually longer than they appear in the online pics....perfect for reaching areas without requiring a lot of bending. Great tool!

I have quite a few topiary container plants near my front entrance. These shears give a marvellous precision cut. The blades are super sharp and the blades are replaceable. They are well-designed and will probably last a lifetime. My other shrubbery respond so much better when using these shears due to the sharp cut. These pruning shears are excellently made and a real pleasure to use.

Light weight, Sharp. Handle length give me a little extra reach. very good product. I was happily cutting my Red Tips when the handle snapped off. The are good for light cutting. Don’t recommend cutting red tip or similar shrubs.

Very light and stays sharp. We like it so much that we bought another one as reserve. But watch out for the screws holding the blade from getting loose and falling off. Luckily, Home Depot sells the screws.

These are the best hedge shears I have ever owned. They are easy to use. The long handles give excellent leverage and extended reach. I like the fact that there is a sheath to cover the blades for storage. Compared to other hedge shears, it feels like I am using a lot less effort while trimming. They have a professional, almost surgical, look to them. As they are both sharp and lightweight, I can get the job done quickly. Rather than butchering my privet hedges with an electric tool, the precision of these shears turns my trimming into a more artistic endeavour and it is a more rewarding experience. I am very pleased with these shears and would highly recommend them.

I use these shears to trim the young little branches off the olive trees on my farm in Spain. For the bigger branches, lobbers are still the best, but for these smaller ones, the pruning shears works really well. Yes, the shears is probably not initially designed for this, but believe me, it is a great tool to use! Actually, these shears does the pruning of most of the bushes and shrubs in our garden. My wife even loves pruning herself just because of the light-weight and very sharp blades of these shears, including the womanly thing of “ it’s the most stylish pair of shears she’s ever seen”. The light-weight of these shears, compared to the heavy-duty work that it performs, is astonishing. We both highly recommend these professional hedge shears to anybody who enjoys gardening.

These are amazing. I have a disability which leaves my arms very weak and the weight of normal gardening shears mean my arms fatigue very quickly leaving me unable to do very much at all so I had stopped bothering. After reading the reviews for these I bought some and wow they are fantastic. So lightweight with hollow aluminium handles, very smooth to use and super sharp. I can do so much with them before my arms tire. They are a really good length too and I can reach the top of my smaller conifers. Absolutely thrilled with them and would highly recommend to anybody who struggles with weak, tired arms. So glad I bought them and will never use a normal pair of shears again. I can take control of my garden again!

I read some of these reviews and observed that most people enjoyed these shears because they are super light in weight, with razor sharp blades, easy to use and to top it all, beautifully stylish. So I thought I will give it a try. They were spot on with their assessments! What a difference to my previous and last pair of shears. All of them were very sturdy and heavy. There is just no comparison to these new and beautiful pruning shears. Thumbs up to this design!
