I tried this product for a few reasons: 1st because it is all natural, which is most important to me. I don't particularly care to put all those chemicals on our dog (Lucky-dachshund). He is a member of our family just like any other person in our home. 2nd, it smells really great. 3rd, it leaves Lucky's fur really soft and shiny. We have a rather large fenced in corner lot home for Lucky to roam and run, so he can always find ways to get dirty, hence Lucky gets a bath once a week or once every two weeks at the very most. 4th, Lucky loves his baths; afterwards he runs around the livingroom rug, which we cover with towels, and he primps and dries himself, kind of like he is so proud of himself. Its funny to watch. So, I guess what I'm saying is, I will definitely purchase this product again. P.S. No problems with fleas or ticks either.

This is the second bottle of Arava Flea & Tick shampoo that I have purchased. We have two small dogs that spend the night in our beds so we are hesitant to use collars or drops that are applied to the fur. We are concerned that the harsh chemicals might irritate not only their skin but also ours. We started using Arava for a bathing shampoo (with a Burts bees tearless for our girls' faces) last year. We walk two miles every day on a sidewalk that goes through a field and around grounds that are not sprayed. Last year, we did not have a single bite. This spring we ran out of this shampoo and... well life happened. Our girls were overtaken by black flies and they each suffered numerous bites! I immediately got more Arava, gave them a bath and we have not had a single bite since then.Also, it is worth noting that the scent of this shampoo is a little strong at first, but softens within a few hours leaving the dogs with that "just had a bath smell" longer than usual. One of our dogs is aging and has a problem with "stinky spots" and this shampoo has the staying power that helps keep her "fragrance" under control.The cost is a little higher than some shampoos, but its thick consistency makes a little go a long way.

I will continue to order this Shampoo for my Dogs & Puppies, as its SAFE, GENTLE, VOLUMIZING, and has LOVELY SMELLING OILS & EXTRACTS! Their FUR is SOFT, VOLUMIZED, CLEAN, and well SCENTED after a BATH!Everyone I have showed my Dogs to asks what Shampoo do you I use... WELL here is the Answer I give ARAVA! The product does CLAIM Flea & Tick control, however I do NOT have any issues with either prior to beginning... So I will have to accept this claim in Good Faith, regardless of how this Natural product works compared to chemicals. The price is affordable and fair, as compared to other 'Natural' products with similar ingredients(Research and Compare Active & Inactive ingredients!).If you're having a break out with Fleas and Ticks, I would suggest using a chemical treatment(To Gain Control) and treat surroundings then after maintaining with a Natural product as these dont usually work as well with breakouts/issues... Natural products work better as a deterent, or slight repellent, as 'Natural' and 'órganic' compounds break down faster and dont work as well as Chemicals in most regards! First I would like to start by saying that I have three Great Pyrenees pups and one adult lab. I love my dogs like my kids and would only use the finest on them especially since they seem to itch a lot with their baths. This shampoo is truly amazing. I love the smell and that my pups smell so amazing. I am not talking for a day, my dogs smell good for weeks. I have also noticed that my pups do not itch any longer and their coat remains soooo soft. In fact every time they go out in the rain or swimming they usually come back in smelling as if they had another bath.I think the best part about this shampoo is that it is truly all organic and no chemicals. This shampoo is very high quality, smells amazing, leaves your dog smelling amazing, pups won't itch and its well priced. I highly recommend and will continue to buy for my pups.

We have 2 dogs at home and we used the shampoo in June which is flea and tick season and unfortunately they had a lot of itching and we found flea at 3 bath day. Smells very fresh and good but maybe for a dog that's home longer and doesn't go for a run outside or in town

My dog had a very mild case of lice, this product claimed it would kill and repel those as well as flee and ticks. The first time I bathed my dog the smell of the shampoo was very strong, it smelled good but it made my eyes water a little. It has to smell strong though, lets you know it works! You kind of get used to it, and after the bath my dog smelled amazing. He ended up smelling like cedar wood, which I love! I followed up the next week and gave him one more bath with the shampoo just in case some of the lice didn't die. I haven't found any since I bathed him with it, he's lice free! I also did notice that it did help with his dry skin as well, but living in the desert it didn't last long. He's a little unhappy in the picture having to sit and wait for 5 mins while the shampoo set haha

Amazing scent and leaves fur so soft. I use this in conjunction with daily spraying of Apple cider vinegar and lavender oil mix on my dogs fur. I also get my yard treated monthly for fleas and ticks March-August. I have found that this works very well for controlling fleas and ticks on my dogs. I live in the south and we have insane bugs here! The biggest benefit of this product is its strong botanical scent that lasts for days. I read fleas and ticks hate that! So as far as that goes the scent combined with the essential oils used in this shampoo are definitely keeping fleas and ticks off my dogs. Keep in mind that this product alone will not be an effective form of flea and tick control. Use this with other natural botanical flea and tick products including yard spray.
