A MUST READ FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH!!!!
If you loved Amy's first book (as did I),you'll be thrilled with her sequel!Amy's glass half full wit and clever illustrations, are laugh out loud funny...She has a knack for incorporating humor into her nutritional and yoga teachings,as well as her secret to a youthful, vibrant appearance with body brushing(an economical spa treatment),staying hydrated with lemon water(rids the body of toxins and makes your skin just glow)),and getting plenty of sleep each night(during which time growth hormones slow the aging process).....As a Registered Nurse, and a Fitness and Yoga Instructor(as well as an extreme enthusiast of all things wellness),Amy is just refreshingly adorable. This is a book I could not put down;infact,I read it cover to cover digesting each and every tidbit of information like a porous sponge from the sea!!Amy has a very common sense,no nonsense approach to health and wellness, beauty and yoga that anyone can incorporate into their daily lives. She "swaps incense and skinny minnies for martinis and tummy rolls",without sacrificing top notch yoga instruction, giving it that human approach".In a society where pencil thin is in,she encourages you to love your body,no matter what size....as she is a woman "young in spirit and generous of heart"....This book is wonderful for seasoned yogis...as well as newbies.Add it to your own collection,or gift it to a friend!!This one is a keeper!!!!

Great book
If you want to learn about yoga and feel a little intimidated by it, I suggest you buy this book. It's very well illustrated and it explains the poses and the benefits of the pose in simple terms. Great book.

it is nonetheless a great resource for a beginning yoga practitioner or an advanced ...
Think of this book as a follow-up to "Yoga to the Rescue: Remedies for Real Girls." Similar to that book, this book introduces poses with colorful and detailed illustrations, key tips on what parts of your body should feel the stretch, easier versions of poses, as well as safety tips if necessary for a given pose. While the detailed yoga routines that were present in the previous book are not present in this book, it is nonetheless a great resource for a beginning yoga practitioner or an advanced yoga student that needs new ideas and new poses. Definitely pick this book up if you're thinking about trying yoga!

Not Many Out There Like This
After looking at a bunch of yoga books, I settled on this one (and the companion book, Yoga to the Rescue: Remedies for Real Girls) for my girlfriend for a few reasons:1. EASY & CLEAR pose instructions and lots of illustrations which adds to the clarity immensely.2. An easier version of each pose.3. Poses organized in great categories.I have done yoga for a long time but my girlfriend is pretty new to it and I wanted something that was both accessible, yet that had lots of really good information. I like the refreshing approach these books take, they are quite witty, while still providing excellent yoga instruction and I know my girlfriend will appreciate the humor. Very unique books that stand out in a crowd of yoga books.

Cute drawings
This book had cute cartoon drawings. More likely for a child than an adult.

Excellent for beginners
Friendly, relaxed, fun, yet fully informed tone. I LOVE the illustrations of imperfect and realistic looking people!!! As a perpetual yoga beginner, I find that the content seems to offer thorough AND simple guidance with suggestions and reminders for safe approaches to poses.

Amazing Cartoon Illustrations
Easy to understand. I love the humor. I wish there was an index of problems with corresponding yoga "Rescues". The poses are explained quite clearly with just a few words and amazing cartoon illustrations. This author illustrator knows her business.

Love Amy Luwis books!
I love the drawings and the humor of Amy's books. She sections her yoga into specific "issue" categories. The books are small and can be taken anywhere. When will Amy do a book for yoga in the office? I need to take one to work!

My back and hip pain vanished!
I pulled my lower back and started having pain in my hips as well. I tried the exercises recommended for back and hips and they absolutely worked! I felt sore the day after, but after that, my pain vanished and I haven't had any pain since. She offers modifications and urges caution with each exercise depending on your injury or ongoing issues. There are diagrams for each exercise so you know exactly what to do. There are also exercises for well being, rage, serenity as well as pain.

ageless beauty
loved the graphics in this book as i could actually understand some of the yoga moves and positions. Notthat i have done many yet, but i am motivated and have altered some dietry things that were put forward at the beginning of the book. not stuffy or too technical at all and very good for a novice at all this.

A sweet little book. Inspires you when you're not feeling like doing much yoga or stretching! Nice illustrations too. And they say BTW that yoga will keep us younger for longer.

Another fab book by Amy Luwis
Love this follow-up yoga book. Suggest starting with the pink cover book first. Both books are great and have fun illustrations and well-described poses so that you can do it on your own. Nice and compact for travelling. I posted reviews for both books because I appreciate them so much.

enjoyable purchase
Great little book. Humorous. Easy yoga postures. I like info presented. Not loving stick drawings, but it works in this type of book. Bought one for a friends' gift, but got no feedback. Enjoyable purchase.
