Clydes works very well!
Can be a bit challenging to match with the biege color of my car, but once I found the right color, it worked so well. I have used Clydes before on a black interior and it was so easy and made my interior look new again. There is no color transfer either once dry. Truly an amazing product!!!

Seems to be great product
This worked wonderfully on my Lazy Boy Recliner. Unless it is Italian leather it is just painted. We will seek how long it last. Water based dye/paint. I use a soft 2” brush to spread and blend. Perfect match. Easy cleanup.

Effective coloring, but not good for horse tack.
The coloring was very effective and dried well without any bleeding issues afterward, even with the darkest color and using cleaner! However, I do not recommend this to color entire pieces of horse tack or any other working leather that needs to be oiled. It does not really soak into the leather like a liquid—it leaves a sort of hard water proof layer on top that prevents oil from soaking into the leather beneath and makes it less supple. May be useful for touch ups, small designs, or smaller parts of tack, just not coloring large pieces.

Didn't work for me
I spent over $60 on Clydes products (Leather Prep and Deglaze and Light Beige Leather Recoloring Balm) to try to repair my cream leather chair that has a stubborn sunscreen stain. First impression was that the product sizes were ridiculously small (see photo with ruler). The Leather Prep was 2oz or 4 tablespoons to remove the leather factory finish. Although I was working on a small area of the chair, I barely had enough product for the job. The Recoloring Balm is 1.7 oz. Second observation was that the Leather Prep smells an awful lot like pure acetone. The ingredients are acetone, methanol and ethanol at a cost of $29.99 for 2 oz! But I tried to think positively and followed the directions to the letter. The factory finish (together with the sunscreen stain) came off with the Leather Prep. I then moved on to the Recoloring Balm. The light beige was more of camel color than an off white. Using a very small amount on the foam sponge provided, it went on unevenly and the resulting splotchy color was just as unsightly as the original sunscreen stain! I cleaned the leather again for a second try but had the same unsatisfactory result. This product may work if you are changing the color of a light leather item to a darker color but please note how expensive it is. I wish I had put the money I spent towards a new chair.

Too hard to match color
Its very hard to match the color of your seats. They need to have color numbers that match the vehicle leather color. I had to return this item.

Good prep work leads to great results.
This turned out amazing! I had no experience in doing this, but I think success is found in doing all the steps carefully. Like anything, good prep work leads to great results. Clean, deglaze and no need for over application. A couple of spots needed a second coat after a little dry time, and blended perfectly. With one bottle, I was able to do two recliners and likely have enough left to do a couple more. Great way to save money by refurbishing, instead of buying new furniture. I’ll apply conditioner after the suggested wait time and these recliners will look almost new again.

Wow!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have a 2010 Audi S5 Cabriolet with Tuscan Brown Italian Leather interior. The Medium Brown is a flawless match, and instantly covered the slight rub marks on the driver’s side seat, caused by getting in and out of the car. I would def recommend this product. Wish I snapped before and after pics…
