The book arrived in great condition and on time. Read it in one sitting and loved it. The book has betrayal, love and twist which made me keep reading to know what unravels next. Spoiler!! Alex is the rich CEO who falls in love with his best friend's sister Ava after Josh, Ava' s brother asks his best friend to watch over his little his while he is gone. Alex got close to Josh to plot his revenge as he thought Josh's and Ava's Dad ordered the assassination of his family only to discover later on that his uncle the only relative left has lied to him his whole life... I definitely recommend reading the book.

I just finished reading this book and Alex VOLKOVVVVV. Yeah we love the man.

Güzel bir kitap

This book is worth all the hype it has received. It’s an amazing read with the main female character being the sister of the main male character’s friend, their love story is a somewhat forbidden romance. The ups and downs had me on the edge of my seat and it was heartbreaking to an extent but definitely worth it! A must buy because it’s a great read! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series

Very interesting Book

Questo è uno di quei libri così belli che non sai nemmeno che stai leggendo un libro, ti senti come se fossi lì con Alex e Ava che vivono la loro vita. Non so nemmeno da dove cominciare… Ava Chen è una studentessa della Thayer University a D.C., studia fotografia e ha un fratello iperprotettivo di nome Josh, uno studente di medicina che sta per intraprendere un viaggio di lavoro in Sudamerica per un anno. L'iperprotettivo Josh chiede al suo migliore amico Alex Volkov di prendersi cura di Ava mentre lui è via. Alex e Josh sono migliori amici da 8 anni e anche se Ava conosce in qualche modo Alex, in realtà non lo conosce davvero. Alex è sempre stato pensieroso, silenzioso e in qualche modo misterioso. Alex Volkov è uno dei MIGLIORI eroi (o antieroi) CHE ABBIA MAI LETTO! Il livello di profondità, background, personalità e trama che Ana Huang è stata in grado di portare a questo libro e in questi personaggi è di un altro livello. Alex vi piacerà sin da subito e dal momento in cui si ferma con la sua Aston Martin io me ne sono innamorata. Diciamo solo che state per leggere dell'eroe più sexy, “cattivo”, intelligente (QI di 160) e spiritoso che abbiate mai incontrato, ma maledetto da un passato a cui non può sfuggire. Il monologo interiore e il retroscena di Alex mi hanno lasciato senza fiato. Questa storia mi ha talmente rapito che non riuscivo a smettere di leggere. Ava Chen e Alex Volkov hanno un'innegabile chimica che diventa sempre più forte andando avanti. Alex è una forza. Ava è incredibile Insieme, sono bellissimi. La loro storia mi ha spezzato il cuore e mi ha fatto credere nell'amore e nel superare terribili ostacoli nella vita. Sono così tante le emozioni che si sono riversate tra loro due che ho sofferto con loro. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti i lettori di romance. Non smetterò mai di raccomandarlo abbastanza.
