L’Oréal Paris Hair Colour Colorista 1-Day Spray, Mint, 60ml

I liked this product and it works very well. I give 4 stars as it stays longer on my hair than promised. It took me more than 5 washes with shampoo to remove the color from my blond hair.

When my supervisors declared we were going to have Superhero/Supervillain day at work, there was clearly only one thing for me to do: Pull out my purple suit and become the Clown Prince of Quarantine. The only problem was that I didn't have my fav. green hairspray for the look and couldn't get any on short notice. Nothing else looked up to the task so finally, with admitted reservations, I got a can of this thinking that if it didn't work, oh well. It's what the supervisors got for only giving me a week's notice. My biggest trepidation was coverage, followed by colour. Mint isn't exactly a 'Joker' green, after all, and since this was for 'hints and highlights' I didn't expect it to show on my dark brown hair at all. Things started looking up when the can arrived and the back showed examples of it sprayed on blonde hair (mint) and brown hair (a nice, emerald-ish green). It looked like my dark hair would play in my favor for once! The next test was to apply it. Normally I apply my hairspray in the shower because it gets everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. After a couple of sprays, though, I became concerned about wastage given the small quantity, so I decided to see just how good the applicator tip was a try doing it in front of the mirror. Worked like a charm! Seriously, there was no over spray at all! And the colour was perfect and while it took the full can, the coverage was all I could ask for! (picture above) So yes, while I wouldn't recommend it if you want super opaque coverage on long hair, 'cause you'll need a ton, for small jobs it works like a charm and I'd imagine that for it's intended use of Hints and Highlights it would do quite well.

This is a very good product, offering good coverage and colour even on verry dark hair. To use, wash and style your hair as you want it, then use this spray to finish your look and add colour to your hair. Cover your shoulders with a large towel and apply the spray from about 15 cm ( 6-7 in.) from your hair. It's good to have someone help do the back of your head if you want. It dries fast, holds the colour perfectly, and is non-transferring if you brush against clothing, etc. When you shampoo your hair to remove it, you will notice that the spray is pretty tenacious and doesn't want to release very easily. Simply start your shower or shampoo with conditioner First, rinse that out, shampoo, rinse, condition, rinse and repeat until the water runs clear. I found this is the easiest way to remove it efficiently so your hair is nice and clean and no sticky residue is left behind. An excellent product that works amazingly well. I'm very pleased with my purchase

This spray is great. Beautiful colour over blonde hair. Sprays on soft and manageable. You can brush and curl it. Washes completely out. No staining on hair. I seen the really negative comment, looks like a bad hair day for that person. I've had spray product that turned hair crispy and plain old bad. This product did not do this. I received many compliments. It is worth the money to try, I'm pretty sure you'll love it too!

I'm a senior who wanted a subtle purple. I still have mostly dark brown hair but gray at the temples. This is very a true purple. I didn't want a bright lavender or reddish purple. Have to practice a bit. The sprayer end is narrower than a straw but spray comes out wider. You can still hold up the strand and only apply to the area you want. At first I couldn't see the purple when it was wet so I sprayed too much. Then I realized to let the first spray dry to see if you need to apply a second spray. 1 spray coat did it for me. It also covered the few gray hairs at the temple! It easily rolls off hands but I only got it on my hands because I was touching the wet areas. Use a towel to cover clothes like the instructions say. I held up the strand and no spray got on my scalp.
