Fits my small frame bike
Took the bike on a 25 mile ride without issue. It took some time to put it together, making adjustments along the way, but it feels very secure. I’m on the shorter side (5’1) and I was nervous about how this would mount to my small frame bike. I have the seat set as low as I can with this rack attached and I can still reach just fine. Very happy with this item!

Sturdy bicycle luggage rack, not too hard to install
I bought this rack for my retro-style cruiser women's bicycle. Once I figured out how to fit it to my bike, it worked out nicely. it is very sturdy, very well built. Be sure to have SAE Allen/hex wrenches on hand when you are ready to install it. It does not come with tools. Once you have all the bolts adjusted by wrench so that it fits your particular bike, the rack does have built-in screw handles for the sections that attach to the bicycle, so that makes it easier to remove if needed. It took me about 15 minutes to assemble the rack pieces. It took me another 30 minutes to actually attach it to my bicycle. The small instruction sheet that came with the rack was very basic and not the most helpful. I needed more detailed information. The instruction sheet didn't give any video information, but I found this very useful video on Amazon which helped a lot:Heavy Duty Carrier Rack with Spring Armhttps://www.amazon.com/vdp/08faf7775fb04be69a08c1130c49554f?product=B09SVTB1KF&ref=cm_sw_em_r_ib_dt_PLPgpnQzfIBor

Works well and easy to install.
The rack will serve our purposes well, but it's not quite as sturdy as I'd hoped. Very good for the price

Easy. Well made. Solid as a ROCK!
The media could not be loaded. I read the reviews on all the other bike racks on Amazon, which appear to be made by the same manufacturer. Distributed under different drop shippers.I ordered one of these first, and was very disappointed. It was flimsy material and didn’t fit my bike. Also the instructions were not. very goodBut then, I found this one by LuminTrail. I had just bought a bike stand from this company and it is perfect. So I figure this company knows how to make good products. And let me tell you, this bike rack is freaking amazing. . It only took me about 30 minutes to install it, thanks to the very simple and complete video that quickly shows you exactly how to do it.And as I show in my video, is is solid as a rock. I am very comfortable carrying 50 pounds, which is a lot! Forget all the other bike racks. This is the one. You will love it.

Maximum Overload!!!
It's perfect for me. I think it exceeds a 20 lb static load. That's STATIC, NOT DYNAMIC. So, don't load it then expect to go trail riding!! It's a free hanging lever. Remember. The fulcrum... and the further away the mass is from it, increases load. Plus every bounce or momentum change exponentially increases force!!That being said. I abuse it.Cant have my equipment slowing me up.Yes, Im careful when i pack heavier and im going down a curb. And yes, i seek the smooth path when loaded. And ive had this for one summer, 2019 will be 2nd summer. Also, (SEE PIC) added security. Put a pipe clamp on the rack post clamp!! Not easy on off... but... i live in NYC. It aint coming off. Nor out of my sight for long. Good deterrent.Also.... i added extra hard rubber in the gripper part. Its tight. And there is some sway back n forth when biking hard, so that will 'tail whip' the rack.... but not bad. AND,,,, im not speed racing. Im going to and from clients, training sessions, and stuff.... Im not going to the antique store and bring back a oak dresser....Hmmm... and.... when its loaded heavy...ish.... be careful when you get off your bike... its back heavy and will flip on you if you angle to low....SO>>> DO NOT BUT THIS IF YOU WANT TO PACK HEAVY!!!! This is a light cruiser....If your packing heavy, and want better stability with less sway... then buy a unit with down tubes that directly sit on bike frame!!! Dont buy this model and then say it sucks....DO research...And no... the clamp does not rub into my leg when pedaling.... not even close.Love,[email protected]

Great cargo rack
Easy to assemble (not sure why others seemed to have trouble), very sturdy, anchor to seat post strong and rigid, no motion or rotation. A little heavy, but I guess that's the tradeoff for a sturdy frame. Definite recommend.

Does not hold 20 lbs.
I used this to mount and ebike battery that weighed less than 20 lbs. It weighs 11 lbs. It failed after just a few hours. There are a number of things flawed in the design. 1st it uses a compression clamp which is subject to come lose when riding. The weakest link in any design fails first. So the first failure is the bolt tied to the clamping mechanism. It bends after any force is applied to it for more than a few hours. If you are really using this to support any weight it won't work, you need a full bolt clamp design. Secondly, the clamp design itself can be stolen by anyone very easily which is itself another design flaw.

doesn't work with heavy panniers
the quick release clips are a pain, the rack gets out of alignment easily. i replaced it with a different rack that you just screw on with an Allen wrench and i'm much happier.
