This is a great butter dish that will hopefully last longer than last (different type and brand) butter dish.What I like about it:* color choices (I would have preferred white over gray, but did not want to wait for the white which was not available as quickly when I ordered)* the quality of the plastic - NOT brittle and hard, so should not crack like my last dish* it's dishwasher safe* "The low lip inside the dish helps to provide an airtight seal, while keeping your butter in place too."

works good, the lid doesn't snap on but its a good dish.

I love this butter dish. I ordered 3 different brands because I wanted a new one but couldnt decide. This one beat out the other 2 more expensive ones. It closes easily, fits regular and European (?) style butter as well. Dishwasher safe, too. I also like how the sides of the top dont get near the butter enough to touch it so there is no messy dish. Quailty made and looks almost modern in its design. Very pleased w this purchase.

We used to have a plastic butter keeper like this one. Then I replaced it with a pretty ceramic one. But my husband wanted to go back to a plastic butter keeper so he wouldn't have to worry about dropping and breaking the butter dish. Over the years, we've dropped our previous plastic butter keeper several times. It was durable enough to always survive and keep the butter safe. So we're back to using a plastic butter keeper.This plastic butter keeper prettier than our previous one, which I appreciate. However, it is more difficult to snap close. The design is a bit different. I didn't have to think about closing our previous one. It just snapped together. With this one, I would have to take the time to line up the top and bottom just so or it won't snap together. Maybe I just need more time to get used to it.I can't address durability yet. We have not yet dropped this butter keeper so I can't say if it would stay intact and keep the butter safe.

It is attractive, easy to open and close. Made of good quality materials. I’m sure you will like it. I just bought a second one! That’s how much I like it.

My sticks of butter get so hard in the refrigerator I thought I’d try a butter dish. This one neeets my needs just fine. Now I can use the butter which is now so much softer.
