Handles like a hamster
Rips trees down like a beaver. Fantastic tool. Good value. No more gas bullnoise. Remember to buy bar oil when you buy this. Any bar oil works. Amazing value when you score one on Amazon days or whatever it’s called. Cuts fast. So far no oil leakage. Really good torque and power. Better than gas torque wise. Better than gas in every way. Accepts other bars and chains. Easy to maintain.

Pretty Surpising.
I bought this because my wife cannot start our gas-powered saw, and finds the noise distracting and nerve wracking. She loves this new saw, has been using it a lot. It is somewhat lighter than our gas saw, and the simplicity of use and quiet, I think, make it a safer saw for her to use. It runs quite a while on a single charge. I find myself picking it up more and more. I have been a Stihl guy for a long time - used to do tree work - but this little gadget sure does work well.I was very surprised at how well - quickly - it cuts. Unless you propose to be bucking up redwoods, it is plenty of saw for nearly any purpose around the house. You could buck up a reasonable-size tree without any trouble. I have not had it long enough to comment on longevity, but it does seem well made.

Great chain saw!
Just got this EGO chain saw, and I love it. I have had a Stihl gas model for decades, and although it has always worked well, I sometimes dread having to deal with the 2 cycle engine- hard to start, sometimes quits running and can't get it restarted. I researched different model cordless saws, and this model EGO sounded good. I don't have a lot of cordless power tools yet, and if I am buying into a specific companys 'family' to share batteries with various tools, seems EGO has one of the better reputations.I used the EGO saw this weekend to cut up a large pine tree which had broken off and fallen, and was surprised how well it worked on it. Almost seemed more powerful and efficient than my Stihl gas model, and I loved just having it stop in between cuts, and only running it when actually bucking the tree, vs the gas saw running (hopefully) constantly, with the noise and fumes. And when running, the EGO is so much quieter than the gas saw too. Nice! I'm definitely turning into a convert, to use cordless vs. gas engine tools after this. Very pleased with this saw.

Great saw - better than gas!
Really happy with the performance of this chainsaw. Had all the power I needed to log out three good size birch trees. So much better than using my last gas chainsaw - no smell, so quiet, easy/quick start every time (no rope pulling!), no worrying about motor idling - seemed safer. (never take safety for granted with a chain saw - even this one) So much easier to handle. Had to change 5Ah batteries in the middle.

Easy to use, powerful
This review is written by someone who has never used a chainsaw before. The chainsaw arrived with the battery partially charged, no bar and chain oil in the box-need to purchase separately. The chainsaw is easy to use, lightweight even with the battery. It cut through the logs easily; if you haven’t used one before read the tips in the instruction manual. I got it jammed in a log because I was pushing down rather than allowing the machine to do its job. When it jammed I pulled the chain off accidentally; that was a chore to get back on, but once I figured out how (watched a you tube) it came together and I was able to complete my project. The next time I used it was super easy. This is my 3rd EGO product, make sure you register this on EGO’s website, trying to get a warranty repair will suck your soul clean out of your body. I needed a warranty repair on my mower and it took their customer service department 3 days and 3 phone calls to complete the claim. Each phone call was ridiculously long as I was put on hold multiple times while the gal “checked on things”. You will need a copy of your receipt to register - doing this before needing warranty service will not speed up the process, but better to do it before you need it and have lost the receipt. If you do a warranty claim, stand beside the machine the whole time because they will literally ask 3 times for the serial number, even though you provided it during registration.I do like EGO products, I find their batteries last a good long time and fit all of their products. But their customer service needs some MAJOR work.

Powerful, just right saw
This saw works great for the type of tasks a homeowner is likely to have — it can take out reasonably sized logs and downed trees, but is light and easy to use. The battery life is great — I wear out before it does. And while not all that heavy it’s also not super light — which is good, because I don’t want a super light chainsaw. You need the saw to have enough weight to do the work, and this does yet is well balanced. Overall an excellent addition to my tools and one I’m already finding lots of uses for. While I suspect it could be put to occasional commercial use, it’s not really a pro machine — but it’s the sort of chainsaw a homeowner will find very useful. It’s a sort of “just right” saw that seems like it will be the right tool for a lot of jobs.

Works like a CHAMP!
I was very sceptical of this product. I've always had standard gas engine saws. I have not needed a saw for quite awhile, but now I have a lot of small stuff that I want to get rid of. Saplings and trees up to around 8" in diameter. This saw works like a CHAMP! I made over 150 cuts of trees from 2" to 8" and still have about 40% battery power. Never bogged down, super quite, far less vibration than a gas saw, no mixing gas, no fumes, no screwing around with the carb, the chain doesn't get loose, no hesitation. I'm very much surprised and very happy with this purchase.
