What do you use to thin walrus Tung oil? Product name?

We make a natural product called Soy Solvent that is designed to work with our Pure Tung Oil. It will be available soon on Amazon.

Will this product change the color of a raw wood or maintain close to the original color?

In my experience so far, I gave but seen a change in color but it actually enhances the color and makes it a deeper tone of natural if that makes sense. It's a beautiful natural finish.

Are any precautions necessary with this product To avoid "spontaneous combustion" of oily rags?

Don’t bunch up or pile up used oily rags. The combustion can likely occur from the oxidation of the oil putting off heat which is then trapped by the layers of oil soaked rags. Also when finished submerge used rags in water until completely saturated and leave overnight. Dispose of the next day (check local regulations about disposal) Empty paint cans are ideal for this.
