The accuracy is very important when smoking meat this gauge is accurate. The face of the gauge is one color for smoking and another for grilling, this is a quickaid when keeping the smoker in the right tempture rangeThe only issue that my previous gauge had a 1/2" hole opening this one is 5/8"requires and the hole to be drilled to this size

Perfect fit for our new smoker! The original one was broken at installation. This was our replacement and has held up to a years of smoking. The temperature is accurate and we like the color coded section to quickly tell the heat area.

As advertised. Fit perfectly and works.

We bought an inexpensive grill to get us through a few years (health issues) after our old grill rusted out. It had no thermometer so I ordered this. Drilled a 3/8" hole and inserted it. After smoothing out metal shards that were sticking out from drilling the hole it fits perfectly and securely. Very accurate. Highly recommend this!
