Very simple, you can turn off it by pressing any button twice

It looks like a wood veneer but not sure if it is wood or plastic. It does look like wood though from a distance.

Q: Can I use it for snooze if I want to take a nap?

There is a nine-minute snooze function which is not configurable, but you can repeat it every nine minutes. Each time the the alarm is triggered, hitting any button one time starts the snooze, while hitting any button two times ends the alarm for the day.

Q: can you turn off the light completely during the night and still leave the alarm on? or also at minimum level the light remains a little on?

You can turn light off all the way and still use alarm.
