Owner thrilled; budgies not so much
I bought the smallest size for my 2 budgies that we brought home from the pet shop 4 1/2 months ago. Today we received the harness and it was also the last sunny day we were going to get before 2 weeks of straight rain so I decided to give it a go.I chose my sweet, docile bird Sky first. After 2 attempts and 30 minutes, I was able to secure him in. But not without him struggling and biting at the leash and harness. He even bit me several times, something he doesn't do.After I got the harness on Sky, my kids and I took him for a walk. He didn't attempt to fly. Rather he sat on my hand and took in the sights, sounds and smells. He was very calm and peaceful.Neighbors stopped us, cooing at the bird because they never knew birds had harnesses. When we got home, we placed Sky back in his cage and took Sapphire out. He's quite the biter with everyone but me. Except today was different. It was fairly easy to get him in the harness. He did bite me several time and hard at that, like he was trying to draw blood. I remained calm even though it hurt. When we finally got Sapphire outside, he spent most of the time doing acrobatic tricks trying to release himself from the harness. He almost didn't notice the outside world until the last 5 minutes of the walk. He, too, didn't attempt to fly. After we got home, I gave him some millet and he nearly fell asleep on it. I removed the harness and placed him on his perch. He and Sky are sleeping as I type this review.I will definitely buy another one so we can take both of them out... once all this rain stops...*** UPDATE ***I bought a 2nd one and received it yesterday. We took both budgies out since it was a lovely day outside. They both tried to chew the harness and I hope the material is sturdy enough to withstand their chewing. They seemed more calm being together on our walk.In order to get any of the budgies into their harnesses, I pick one of them up gently with a hand towel. I'm already wearing cheap cloth gloves at this point to protect my fingers from getting bitten by a frustrated bird. I place the harness over the head and let the budgie wiggle himself through the neck hole. While he's busy chewing the harness, I gently move each wing through and then I adjust the belt.

Mini xxxs fits the parakeet
I am down to one parakeet and I wanted something we could do together. Usually I have a group of parakeets who entertain each other. My parakeets are not handled much and they bite. I watched the video. It took me two different days to be successful to put on the harness. Today was sunny, fall weather. In the video it said to take the bird and do something nice if it is in the harness. I had clipped my bird's wings because it was barking super loud like an ice pick through my head. I wore close fitting garden gloves to start but finished tightening the strap without gloves. It seemed like the strap was tight enough but not too tight. The strap clasp doesn't tighten or loosen super easy so that was safe but also challenging. The bird seemed to enjoy going outside. He rode on my shoulder and didn't poop on me, which shows some respect. He rode in my hand and chewed on my ring but didn't bite too much or draw blood. He tried to hide in the bushes. He got some sun. He met the neighbor and the neighbor dogs. He came inside and somehow we worked together to remove the harness. Overall, super successful adventure for us to socialize with each other. I look forward to trying it again and maybe going on a longer adventure at the park.

I love it. 🧡
The media could not be loaded. My cockatoo took really well to this! She is approx 12 years and was my grandfather’s. He passed away 3 months ago so I’ve been so worried about her accepting her new home. She put the harness on with no problem. The first time I took it off immediately because I didn’t want her to be claustrophobic, and I was so surprised we got it on! I looked up how others were doing it on YouTube. The second time we took her outside. When we came back in (because it was getting kind of cold) she took flight in a circle a few times. She seemed so proud of herself! I love it. 🧡

Works really well for our cockatiels!
Bought a petite red harness for my 8mo cockatiel. Took about 2 weeks of daily conditioning with treats to get her in it, and day three of being in the harness was the charm! She'd totally comfortable with it and loves going outside for walks with us.The big hit for treats was millet, then when she actually got IN it I started giving her cheerios. It's sturdy, and even with her initial fidgeting it was tough enough to keep her from biting it apart, but plenty light enough for her to lift off if she wants to stretch her wings a bit.

Amazing Construction and Customer Service!
My green cheek conure and I love our new harness! It is very well-built, and after watching the instructional DVD (which is a MUST, no matter how simple you think it will be to harness-train your bird), seems like it'll be very easy to put on/off. This isn't something your bird will take to right away, but if you follow the DVD's instructions on familiarizing your bird with the harness, they'll eventually tolerate it. Within a few days, my GCC actually got excited to see the harness, and associated it with going on adventures outside, which has been such a great experience for both her and myself. This product deserves 5 stars for customer service alone. I received frequent emails about shipping updates, additional information, and a follow-up email making sure I was satisfied (and if I chose the wrong size, they would happily exchange it for the proper one!). Will definitely buy another down the line if need be (realistically, nothing is unbreakable for birds, so I know it will eventually need to be replaced).

AVIATOR PET BIRD HARNESS - DON' T BUY THIS PRODUCT, FAULTY, COMPANY NOT RELIABLE !!!
i bought this harness for my baby African Grey ( Coco) on July 12, 2019. I used mostly once a week for walks in the park with Coco. I had the DVD ( included) with instructions on have to use the harness, etc.Last Saturday, September 21, 2019 i took Coco in my car to the bank (he was wearing the harness) and by the time we were coming back to my car, Coco flu away from my shoulder and the hardness just snapped ( clean cut). Coco went missing for 48 hours. The local Fire Department, the Police, my family, neighbours and business owners from the area where he went missing helped me look for him to no avail. Finally on Monday morning ( September 23, 2019 ) a construction crew spotted him sitting very shaken and scared on a electrical cable. They called the City Wild Animals Department and they contacted me as i had already reported Coco missing to their office. When i talk on the phone with Julie Dettore, the company owner she showed no compassion for what Coco, my family and I went thought. She mentioned that her company has no liability about a parrot missing because wearing her product. She added that it was MY RESPONSIBILITY to check the harness every time i use it.(the harness was in the same exact condition it came in the mail) She also suggested that Coco chewed on the harness ( he did not - hard for him to reach the area where the clean cut snapped happened) see pictures attached. She said she is only willing to refund the money i paid for the hardness. How about my suffering, my torment, what poor Coco went through ( still wearing the red part of the harness ) for 48 hours with no food and no water ?????PLEASE DON'T TRUST THIS PRODUCT OR THIS COMPANY !!! If you are a parrot owner I don't want you or your parrot to suffer the way we did for 48 hours !!! Laura P. ( a Canadian Amazon Prime customer and parrot lover !)

Happy 'Tiel
My Cockatiel has taken some time to get used to this but it now allows me to take him outside to get some proper sunshine and fresh air.The harness feels secure and has survived all "beaking" and pecking that my 'tiel has thrown at it!It's much softer than other harnesses on the market which has been a godsend whilst our little feather baby had a few pin feathers around his head. The stretchy cord allows a much softer impact on the delicate breastbone of your bird should something spook it enough for them to take flight. I think this is perfectly suited to strong flying birds as it requires the bird to take a bit of time coming back to land.Would recommend this product to anyone with a strong flying bird who needs some fresh air and sun on their feathers!

I like it and seems well built
I like it and seems well built, however considering the materials involved in making this product, the price is highway robbery and it's not the shop's fault because that's about the same price everywhere including the US.The hard part is getting your parrot to like it because if he was never handled before or used to have something on him you're going to be in for a lot of work. My 5 month old African Grey doesn't like it and even though putting it on was really easy, taking it OFF was HORRIBLE as we struggled for 20 minutes because he panicked and just wouldn't stand still. If you start the process of getting him accustomed to the harness you're going to need a LOT OF TIME and PATIENCE and NEVER get angry with him or the situation.Good luck!

Strong and parrot proofed!
I was concerned when it put this on my amazon that he would chew his way out of it. The bits are metal and the material is pretty beak-proof. He hates it still, but that's a bird issue; he hates everything anyway. This is a pretty good product. Buy it!The small fit my amazon really well. I thought it would be a bit small, but it was the perfect size.

The best...does what it claims
This is the only harness you should buy. Easy to put on - depending on your parrot obviously. My African Grey has been wearing this every day for a week and really enjoys his time outside. He can fly , perch, walk and explore.I have given the value 3 out of 5 as , I understand you get what you pay for and this harness is the best, I just feel that 4 or 5 times the price of a regular harness is a bit of a stretch given what it actually consists of.
