CorkBoss provides a cost effective, faster, easier, and healthier way of opening a bottle of wine for anyone from a Sommelier in the wine industry to the occasional wine consumer. It features a unique roto handle which transfers torque away from the operator’s wrist. The roto handle adds ease and speed to the time old process of twisting and untwisting a bottle cork. Considering industry professionals can open between 20-40 bottles a night year over year repetition adds up. Potential long-term aches and pains is what CorkBoss aims to mitigate.

Not your moms corkscrew
I received this wine and champagne corkscrew and I couldn't be happier with it. This corkscrew has made opening bottles of wine and champagne an absolute breeze. The rotating handle makes it incredibly easy to use and the design is sleek and modern.But what really sets this corkscrew apart is the fact that it includes all the tools needed to remove and re-insert a cork. This means that you won't have to go searching for a separate tool to get the job done. The corkscrew is also incredibly durable and well-built, so you can be sure that it will last for years to come.Overall, I would highly recommend this corkscrew to anyone who loves wine and champagne. It is a must-have tool for any wine enthusiast and it makes opening bottles a stress-free experience. Whether you are a seasoned wine drinker or a beginner, this corkscrew is sure to make your life easier and your wine-drinking experience more enjoyable. So if you are looking for a high-quality corkscrew that is both functional and stylish, look no further than this amazing product.

The CorkBoss is the Boss
This is a very good corkscrew, a definite step above the cheap, run-of-the-mill lever style. The body/handle is hefty and ergonomic, but not too heavy. The screw/worm has some type of teflon-like coating that seems to make it easier to insert in the cork and then remove the cork - which is often the most challenging part of the process. The serrated foil cutter is sharp and spring-loaded to keep it open/closed. The fulcrum/lever is hinged two-stage as are most good waiter style corkscrews. And of course it has a built-in bottle cap opener.The unique feature is the roto handle, which is apparently patent pending. It provides additional leverage and eliminates the normal pressure/twist on the fingers and wrist you experience when inserting the screw/worm. The roto handle also has a sleeve which rotates, making inserting the screw very easy. Is this worth the ~ $10 higher price point than similar tools without the roto handle? For people uncorking multiple bottles per night or experiencing hand/wrist problems... I say it's worth it for me.

Good sommelier corkscrew with a handle
This CorkBoss sommelier corkscrew has a lot going for it. It has a good, slightly serrated and curved foil cutter blade, a double-hinged lever (always a plus), a sturdy black-finished screw, and an incorporated bottle opener notch, plus a built-in handle extension for the last few turns into the cork. The turning handle is a clever innovation, with a patent already applied for. There's a hole for a lanyard at one end, too, so it could be hung near the bar for easy access.It's about the same length as my other sommelier corkscrews (I've collected a few over many years), and was a bit surprised that it felt both chunkier and considerably lighter in my hand. It is indeed thicker across the back than the others, about 1/8" (or 25%) wider (photos). It doesn't feel quite as heavy as the others either: the body is carefully polished metal on the outside, but the body is hollow and filled with a plastic insert (photo).The handle is clever, but the screw must be quite firmly sunk into the cork before the handle can be engaged, so there's not much energy or effort saved. Those few extra turns might indeed be tiresome for a professional sommelier, less so for those of us who open bottles less frequently.All in all a good and reliable corkscrew with an innovation, but at the price I'd likely forego the handle and buy one of solid steel and with a more attractive handle.

It sounded like a good idea at the time....
Honestly, this is a pretty nice, solid corkscrew. The rub lies in that roto-handle doodad. It sounds pretty good on paper, and I was happy to try it for that reason, but you quickly realize it doesn't really give much advantage because you have to get the corkscrew a few rotations in before it can be used. At that point, is it really worth it for 3-4 more revolutions? Probably, if you're uncorking wine all day. Not so much if you think it's going to be a game-changer in your home kitchen. Still, and pretty solid tool. Fit and finish could be improved a bit for the relatively premium pricing here - the foil knife in mine looks like it was ground by a blind person.FYI: I received this for “free” as part of the Amazon Vine Voice program but will still pay income taxes on the value of it, kind of like a contractor.

Great Corkscrew. Prefer a little more weight.
So this is, by all accounts, a really great corkscrew. It handles well for multiple openings, and the knife is sharp. I personally prefer a little more weight to my corkscrew because I have larger hands and tend to be a bit forceful anyway. It has stood up so far but I am not sure if this is the sort that will be part of your arsenal for years to come.

Impressive sturdy construction.
The picture compares this corkscrew with an ordinary waiter's corkscrew (in blue) that you might pick up at a liquor store. The handle is longer giving you more leverage and the screw seems to be Teflon coated so insertion should be easier. Construction is heavy gauge stainless steel. [I asked my son to pick up a bottle of wine that I thought had a cork but it turned out to have a screw top. I will update review when I get a bottle with a cork,}

Nice corkscrew
I'm not sure how much of a big deal the "roto handle" will be for me, as I just open wine around the house, not for a living, but it might be great for people opening many bottles a day. The corkscrew part is smooth and correctly sized so it doesn't bust corks. Good leverage from the handle as well. Nicely done.
